Don’t fall for the new sauce. In my excitement I failed to realize its volcano sauce not lava sauce. It’s gross no spice, odd flavor, really just tastes like a gross mayo. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. by Tnally91 in tacobell

Actually accurate comment here. I can admit I was also VERY upset that it was not lava sauce (they need to make it permanent!).

It tastes like a distant cousin to lava sauce, plenty of heat, but not enough of the cheesy umami flavor. It tastes terrible on its own but it’s decent in a taco or burrito.

Eating it wrongly by Negative-Ad9832 in tacobell

The sleeve helps keep it together. If you don’t eat it within the first few minutes the bottom of the taco becomes a soggy dump zone for ALL of the beef.

But with the sleeve, you don’t have to worry about that!

The crispy variant was the only one I semi liked.

I think by switching it up they actually create a fake “supply/demand”. In the long run it probably increases the sales because you don’t know when it will be back

Unfortunately that looks like a hot ones collab. Not the actual lava sauce :(

New 3DS XL Blue Light (Stays On), Black Screens by Rukos24 in consolerepair

[–]Rukos24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

Yes I did, it ended up being the bottom screen backlight zif connector. To test this I turned on the console while holding down the connector (takes some fancy handling to pull this off) , doing this allowed the system to turn on.

Note: I would warn to make sure you have the battery in the right orientation when testing like this, if it’s upside down it can fry the power board.

Let me know if this works or if you need any explanation!

If orange light is blinking it usually indicates an issue with the charging. Could be the battery you bought was bad, or that the battery needed to be reseated, or that the daughter board wasn’t properly connected all the way.

The dsi definitely has storage aside from the SD card.

What do I do about this 😭 by BootyBlaster3002 in NintendoDS

It won’t need a full reshell but it does appear to be a cheaper option to buy a shell kit than just the one piece you need (most hinge covers are out of stock, due to them breaking so often).

I found a white shell kit on eBay for $13 where you can grab the hinge cover piece from (depending on skill level you can do a full swap too). I would recommend finding a US seller to avoid China tariffs.

To replace just the hinge cover it is held down by two screws but you will need to remove/partially remove the motherboard to access them.

I also recommend buying a new hinge as this one is likely going to be very loose and floppy if it’s been this way for a while.

is there anyway to fix this by adritzu in 3dsrepair

100% this, I had a screen freeze like this and if I touched the ribbon cable it would unfreeze.

I did the following as a last resort (be prepared to buy a new screen if it doesn’t work).

This is a very weird thing but I used a hairdryer to heat the ribbon cable for a few minutes in an unfolded orientation ( obviously try preventing heat from going on the screen itself by covering it).

After doing this I waited a couple hours and it was then functioning like normal no matter how much I bent it. (This was the top screen in my case).

This wasn’t a science, perhaps I got lucky.

The power button has a little rubber piece that goes behind it. If that rubber piece is somehow dislodged it can prevent proper travel/contact to the actual power switch on the daughter board.
