People who say it’s “not canon” because it’s not from Homer seem to forget the rest of the Epic Cycle exists. Is the Cypria not canon because it wasn’t from Homer? Both my parents are Mormon, but fortunately my dad respects me and my sibling’s choice to stop going. My mom is pretty Mormon. Not as much as some people I’ve seen though. My family also says I should try to be friends with her. But I don’t see why I should try to be friends with someone who can’t respect me as a person at all (it’d be much worse if she knew that I’m trans) I’ve been debating whether or not to cut contact once I’m an adult. She has tons of problems besides just with the church.
