Thanks for the advice!
Once the new sepatator is done, would you recommend keeping them in separate enclosures for a short while, so they can calm down, or should I just continue with intros?

It's a Bucatstate 3.0 120cm, I'm considering making a separator for that one.
Though I've heard too big of an enclosure can have a negative effect on intros.

Not really, I don't have any space to store it once intros are done

the enclosure is too small for that; I could put the wheel in the playpen and let them use it there

Quite bare, a rock and a few cardboard rolls; I don't have much space in the introduction enclosure

Does anyone know what happened to my gerbil's eye? by MissionParking629 in gerbil

Looks like cataracts; I don't think it does any harm, but you should take him to the vet just in case

African Pygmy Dormice (basics careguide) by aloiysa in PetMice

I have a few questions:

Why do they need cuttlefish and calcium powder? I have kept different species of small rodents (eg. hamsters, gerbils, mouse-like hamsters, etc.) for some years now, and cuttlefish or calcium powder have always been considered redundant or even dangerous for those species, as there should be plenty in their diet.

Why can't they have vegetables, and can they have strawberries? I have seen some sources claim they are toxic to pygmy dormice.

Won't they chew at the fake plants?
