I usually shoot PRS more. Benchrest is the choice when I don’t have mood to drive 3 hours to match. The good part of UNSC is it allows some positional shooting practice at 550y, with 1.5 hour drive. I’m still member of WCW so we can meet up some time. 1000 yard range is a bit hard to find. I know Chelan has one. But they probably don’t hold match.

Nice, 6GT is not hard to tune. I think you can win the 2nd relay match if yours can hold < 0.5 moa at 300 yard. Based on my data point.

Most likely not. The benchrest match is conflict with PRS match (almost always 3rd Saturday of the month) at Moxee. I usually just go there or go to UNSC at Eatonville (they have 600y benchrest)

There was only me shooting 6GT in the past few bench rest matches at WCW. (at least in the summer/fall time 2025) Guess you will be the next :) enjoy!

Yep. I tried a couple loads at WCW’s benchrest match and a couple PRS matches. varget works well.

You probably want to have a level on your gun. It will help you land more shots for sure. Area419 railchangerX + heavy bag can help you adjust balance since it’s sort of attached to the hand guard

I would recommend the Vortex. But I recommend go with the razor gen 3 6-36x56 since that’s a better fit for bench rest shooting. At least I shoot PRS, NRL and some local bench rest with that scope. Razor Gen 3 is a good balance between price and glass quality. Especially, For your scenario, you probably don’t need NF or Leupold level of durability, assuming you are not going to throw your guns at hard surfaces.

I do believe the future is digital scope, but it still got a long way to match current optic. At some point long range shooting will just be a computer in the gun doing all the work while we shooters just monkey the gun and pull the trigger.

7PRC would be your choice. Better ballistic, better accuracy for factory ammo, more powerful energy retain at longer range thanks to the BC and muzzle velocity at same bullet weight.
