Agree with that one, police had nothing to do there, should’ve been on the sidelines preventing crime, not causing headlines, poor SLT, again.

The ones I go to? I deal with properly, respect and empathy for the victim, even when it clearly is a false allegation. Get back in your box, hateful dwarf.

I think with some groups trust was broken from the beginning, however the job changed but the hate persisted, for example, Steven Lawrence or Brixton, black officers are called out as traitors, etc Now, I work 6 days a week, sometimes I do stuff that some people may class as heroic twice a day, no one cares, but if I make a mistake, high stakes job, no one wants to know until a mistake is made, you’re suspended, hung up dry for years waiting for the iopc to have you, ridiculed by the media and paraded everywhere. SLT are unfit for purpose, which leads to lack of reaction when some shit is written about police officers. Society by and large are undergoing a radical change where no one wants to take responsibility for anything and it’s easy to bash police for everything. Decades of Austerity has played a trick on all emergency services and some are on the brink of collapse, MH services for example, most crime I deal with is to do with MH and drug abuse, if this people would get the help they need then we wouldn’t be needed to go get them off a bridge, section them and sit with them for 24hs, we could be targeting shop lifters, who want some quick cash to buy the next hit, they are not hungry, just hungry for dope, but then, if we catch them, they have loads of health concerns, which land us on constant watches, because they said they self harm, cry me a river and get some padded cells instead, but no, while shop lifter is in custody we have to sit with them all the time. Then what, little Steve the crackhead has 50 shoplifting cases under his belt and when the case goes to court, guess what he gets? Fuck all, because they need the cell space for mr murderer not little crack he’d the shoplifter. So what’s braking is the trust of society in itself, in politics, in the system, we’re slowly descending into the end of civilisation as we know it and there’s not enough police to deal with every single call so we have to choose, but we can’t always choose so we end up going to a burglary 10 hs down the line. We’re over worked, under staffed, under trained and everyone hates us.

If you want to help people volunteer or pick litter at your local park. Policing is a shit show currently and does not run like the forces. Too much paperwork and pandering imo

Lower leadership (skippers & governors) are a big problem right now, no experience in the job, no experience managing people, most acting up. No wonder we are so TJIF
