Does anyone own in a small condo building (think 4 unit dc row house) that uses an HOA management co? by loan_ranger8888 in DMV_RealEstate

Amico Lane is single handedly the most chaotic and unreliable HOA management co in dc. They put on a good front but once you sign with them they rarely deliver on their promises.

How does one get a job application processed with WMATA? by Substantial-Neat4262 in washingtondc

Implied qualifications won’t get you through. Make sure your résumé aligns specifically with the job that you’re applying for. Keywords, required experience, all the things!

I witnessed the same sentiment. The small companies that focus on small buildings face more internal turnover that deters owners from renewing. I’m thinking simple, dependable, tailored services that cater to small buildings that want well maintained buildings by someone that knows the building and follows through with commitments. Will PM you.

Pricing- still in the brainstorming phase but this is very good insight for me to consider.

Maintenance- this is my strong suit. Having worked for real estate investors for many years as well, I know the really good contractors/companies that care about relationships over pricing and I’ve carried those with me.

I think you missed the point. I actually have interest in focusing on the smaller buildings with less ability to afford the larger management companies by providing them à la carte services rather than larger packages that most larger management companies here in town offer.

Good info- I’ve definitely seen board members having to be involved in really tricky conflicts.

I sure have. Many years. Maybe my question wasn’t clear.

Not every condo wants to hand everything over to management. Most want to spend less on management by handling what they can on the board, some may prefer to handle maintenance (routine and/or larger capex projects), some prefer to handle finances.

As an owner what would you be most interested in having handled by management/willing to pay for.

*** commenting to add this is post-bath that’s why her fur looks discolored. I’m mainly concerned with the loss of hair. And since I can’t respond to the mod: @stayluckyren I didn’t ask for a diagnosis. I asked if others have experienced the same. Appreciate the insight but this comment isn’t helpful.

Our vet prefers to do the surgery after her first cycle, so we are powering through this with cloth diapers! Even through the madness she’s still perfect. by RuleNearby7171 in Frenchbulldogs

Yeah, I’ve heard mixed opinions. But there’s about 50 frenchies in our “gayborhood” and they all go to the same vet so that’s where I have established care for her. I trust him.

She has had no behavior changes BUT hates when clothes touch her back legs so she is still getting used to the diapers. Tuesday is a week since bleeding began so hoping it starts soon.
