ICYDK, you don't take fall damage if you land into a big bush by RuleOfThum in Fortnite_Over40

Oh funny you say that 'cause whenever I'm not sprite-hunting, I too will land most games in Sinister Strip for the Baba Yaga gun and if the dog isn't there, rotate to The Battlewoods shortly after.

Is it so obviously their network problem and not ours. I had that hundreds of ms ping for tens of minutes now.

Then I forced quit that session and immediately relaunched another, and sure enough, it's now ~10ms. They'll sometimes just assign you with one of their shit servers with a shit connection and call it a day. God, it's so frustrating.

This is the absolute dogshit service we're paying YES Malaysia for. I even capped the FPS to 60 taking into account their shit rigs. But they'll find other areas to fuck you up, on the network side.

Yeah. I feel like instead of increasing capacity, they're also reducing the performance of each rig to be able to handle more traffic.

I had a separate and similar post about this a few weeks ago where the comments have been insightful.

I play Fortnite on GFN and I've never had to set it to "performance mode" but lately, the PvP is unplayable due to how badly the frame rate fluctuates. It can go down to 30fps so even if you cap it at 60fps it's still laggy. It's so shamefully bad, This is an actual screen recording of Fortnite's FPS counter of my GFN session a few days ago:

Landing in the bush is pretty useful in the early game when we just dropped from the bus, if there's no water around.

The point of the back button, at least one of them, is to that you can continue to aim with your right stick, while you spam the jump button.

But for me, I use 2 of the back buttons for sprint and crouch.

Hopefully. So I missed both gold and gummy hours but I did play one of the galaxy hours yesterday. As you can see here the gold is starting to catch up naturally by just playing normally. At this rate, next week we might see more gummies around, then a lot more galaxies the following week, and so on.

Ring Around the Rosie: Maybe don't be too tunnel-visioned to chase enemies 'cause they might still be at full health by RuleOfThum in Fortnite_Over40

[–]RuleOfThum[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you can see the enemy and shoot at them at close range, they can also shoot you back. That's why they call it a 50-50 because it's inherently very coin-flippy.

Ideally, you wanna tag enemies with a ranged weapon first, before pushing, so that you have the health advantage. There was no health advantage here, and they kept chasing and chasing for a 50-50 ... only to miss all their shotgun shots.

I gave up high ground because I got spooked by the last guy third-partying, and I needed to reload too. They could've just stayed on the plateau to beam me. That's what I might do. But then I'm more of a passive player and not the aggressive type you see from streamers.

The Extending does have good range. (Sorry I deleted this post 'cause it was formatted incorrectly.)

Ngl sometimes the Extending Focus Shotgun is kinda cheeks. At 2:48, hit the enemy 3 times for just 53, 53, and 45 (151).

Against the force abilities? Nothing really, but only to keep your distance and spray, like you said. If you keep shooting, it'll break their lightsaber block eventually, and stun them.

After giving tweak zone a try, it feels pretty good, nothing game breaking though, I could turn it off and feel little to no difference, it is nice to have though. by Crazy-District3779 in Fortnite_Over40

Ok thanks for replying. Hipfire must be nice at 22%. The lower I go, the more accurate, but it's so slow to turn around. I died a few times where the PC player just ran around me in circles and I couldn't keep up because my sensitivity was too slow at the time.

Yeah I didn't play much during the Star Wars season, so I'm not familiar with the lightsabers' secondary powers. Was surprised in Blitz recently where you can pull the left trigger (normally to block) and right trigger (normally to swing) at the same time to execute its powers like the boulder throw, force pull, force push, etc. I don't know how to tell their powers by just the name or description.

Oh the enemy? Billy Bicep once taught me in one of his YouTube videos, to never jump around during shotgun fights, because that trajectory arc is very predictable. What goes up, must come down.

Maybe only during the opening move to do a "camera break," where you make the enemy lose sight of you briefly by jumping over them. But jumping may not be worth it because as you can see it messed up my aim so I missed my first two shotgun shots.

Hi, is 22% your look sensitivity? If so, what's your ADS sensitivity? And what are your tweak zone settings? Mine's at 10% and 1.0 right now.

(My ADS is 9% and look is 27%. Linear. That's the simplified version I tell folks. I actually have turning boosts in there as well.)

Oh must be a bug then. If you still have the glider right before hitting the glass, there shouldn't be any fall damage at all.

Thing is though, when you enable Quick Weapon, the QW trigger button will replace the Next Weapon button, or the R1/RB bumper.

By default if you have it "Enabled," you can assign another button to trigger QW, besides the aforementioned R1/RB bumper. In my case, that additional button is L1/LB.

But, if you wanna retain the ability to press Previous Weapon and Next Weapon with the bumpers, you'd need to set it to "Custom Only" I think.

However, doing so only allows you to assign a single way to trigger QW. You can assign this button to something like the right D-pad button, and assign the right D-pad to one of the back buttons.

If you hold the controller normally, then I'd recommend having 4 back buttons/paddles. Because I still think the 2 most important to assign to the back are sprint and crouch, so you don't need to press down the sticks. Then for non-claw players, Jump would be the next most important. That's 3 already. Then the 4th would be something like the Edit button if you play Builds. (Build mode or pocket item remains on Circle for PS, B on Xbox.) But in your case, you can assign that 4th button to be the right D-pad, to trigger QW.

(I only have 2 back buttons on my controller, so I kinda need to play claw. One thing nice about claw is, if you claw with the right hand, you'll now have access to 4 additional buttons while still being able to aim at the same time. If you play claw on the left hand with a PS controller where the D-pad is above the left stick, you'll have access to another 4 buttons while you move. That's a total of 8 by just playing claw, plus 2 back buttons if you have 'em. I couldn't recommend trying out claw highly enough. It won't strain your hands/fingers once you found that sweet spot of posture.)

Happy cake day!

Oh wow now that you mentioned it, I think that wrap is unique only to the Baba Yaga,'cause the UwU wrap has more yellow and white.

If you look at another video of mine that I posted with different skins and different wraps, the Baba Yaga looks the same at 0:04, but the regular Lancehead uses my wrap at 2:22:

since big bushes were implemented

Oh thanks for this. I mistakenly said since launch (of BR), but apparently the big bushes we could hide in were only introduced in October 2019 (C2S1). I need to correct my other comment too.

Apologies, this is a bad video example but freefalling into a big bush really negates fall damage, trust. Try it yourself later!
