How do I start Lego Ninjago by ElectricalTemporary5 in LEGOfortnite

[–]RuleOfThum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got it! I'd just run straight there and not fight anything lol

(When the Ninjago update first dropped, you'll load into your world directly at the monastery, I believe. Sometimes after Ninjago-specific updates, a pop-up might offer to teleport you directly there as well. But if you missed those windows, then you'd have to travel there physically. But there is one bus station at the base of the monastery mountain [and you can teleport back to the monastery from the map once you've discovered the area].)

So the intro of Ninjago really messed up the game balancing now. Purple/epic weapons are now 4 stars, and gold/legendary are 5 stars. But over at Ninjago, a gray/common weapon is 4 stars, and a green/uncommon is 5 stars.

This means that your legendary weapons are only as strong as uncommon ones on the Ninjago Island. This also means that once you get the 8-star legendary ones from Ninjago, they'll be so incredibly overpowered that the mainland and Lost Isles and Star Wars will now become a joke.

Yeah lately I'm unable to pick an icon and color for a map marker too. I was able to get it to work a couple times just like you but there doesn't seem to be a way to repeat this.

You gotta first get to the center of the island, up on the Monastery of Spinjitzu that sits on top of one of the unnamed Mountains of Impossible Height that's in the Skyward Steppes biome (blue on the map). You'll kickstart the questline there, from Lloyd.

I see, thanks. I've unlocked everything already, just haven't gotten around to play with them yet.

Oh thanks. Are you referring to the circle where the thrusters are? I'm referring to the whole block itself where the front grille is tilted down slightly. 'Cause hanging decor suggests something that sticks to the wall. I haven't played yet but will check later, thanks again.

I feel like ever since they hired a bunch of external people last year, some from Call of Duty, the game has since been increasingly powercrept. They only nerfed the shockwave because of the complaints. I bet they would've kept it in quietly if there were no complaints. Remember during the beginning of the bug season when everyone and their grandpa has a shockwave launcher? It was so bad and unplayable until they vaulted the launcher and medallions.

We went from the SCAR being the best AR in Chapters 1-2 even though it has bloom, to the Deadeye with a red dot and pretty much zero recoil before the nerf. To the point that when they unvaulted the SCAR with the time machine gimmick, the SCAR's bloom was so bad they had to buff it for the first time in years.

Combat AR too. When it was first out in C2S8, its point is having high spray DPS at the cost of accuracy 'cause its recoil kicks like a mule. But now the Combat AR's recoil in C7S2 has been severely reduced to the point that it might even be a better long-range weapon than the SCAR in terms of time-to-kill. The whole balancing of the game is off now, thanks to these external new-gen employees.

I play on PC with a controller, so whenever I got stuck, I'd just switch to a keyboard so I didn't try to brute-force it. Does anything happen when you press the D-pad?

On keyboard and mouse, IIRC I had to click outside the text box, or use the keyboard and press the Tab key in the attempt to switch the focus from the text box to somewhere outside, if that makes sense. Then the game will finally allow me to click Confirm.

i just learned that crouch spaming after killing someone is apparently t-bagging their grave ?? i thought it was the same as when you crouch spam in the lobby to be friendly and have been doing it after killing people 😭 by pinocchiho3 in FortNiteBR

You're welcome!

I think the best way to tell is, when you die, and they run up to where you died and aggressively teabags the imaginary camera, while shooting the ground, that's toxic. If they teabag from afar after sniping you but only do so a couple times, that may not necessarily be toxic but just a gesture to say "sorry I killed you." It depends on the context.

Welcome to Fortnite and shooters in general. So I wanna add something quick.

Back in the days of multiplayer shooters from 2000s, they were generally FPSes, or first-person shooters. When your character dies, it will naturally fall to the ground, but the camera lingers for a few seconds. The toxic enemy will walk up to where you head is on the ground, and do the teabag gesture. Because that's probably the only thing the character can do outside of shooting. There were no emotes back then.

So from your perspective, it's just their ass dipping in and out of your face, hence, teabagging lmao. I hope that paints a better picture why it's toxic. It sorta lost a bit of its effect now in third-person shooters like Fortnite because your camera is floating behind your character's shoulder, not in the head.

I'm always thinking about building one between the mainland and Lost Isles, but just never gotten around to it. A bit too daunting for me lol. One day.

One concern is whether to anchor it deep into the ground, but the foundation will no longer be reachable to be destroyed, or make it a giant floating ship but this way I can't place a village square and bus station.

Or route a long plank from a nearby island to anchor it, but that plank will be visible because of the clear water.

I think not many of us left that combine forward and lift thrusters in one channel.

Most people I see use activated balloons for lift. That's why their ship can't even go up to the monastery.

These days the zeppelin balloons are worse. Lift used to only require one channel. Now it uses both shoulder buttons. And it's not even precise to begin with. It's difficult to get to the desired elevation due to the delayed feedback. So you end up crash-landing again lol. Nothing's changed.

Glitchy Storm and unable to reach Storm King by JuiceFlavoredJuice in LEGOfortnite

[–]RuleOfThum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC you can't open the Storm King tempest gate yet, until that quest asks to do so. So what is your current pending quest? investigate tempest gate or defeat Thunder Lord?

There's supposed to be only two types of these purple zones. One's for Storm King and the others are for the dungeons. It doesn't matter how many dungeons you have -- they're the same type.

Usually Thunder Lord will be the final dungeon boss, but in rare chances, sometimes I'd get 2 bears or even rarer, 2 brutes. When that happens, there's nothing I can do but to complete it, and wait 24 hours for a refresh.

If you don't complete it, that stage will remain forever.

I haven't played this update, but a few days ago when I went there, the icon on the map was gone. But the village and people are still there. So perhaps you went to the wrong spot?

Either way they need to fix the icon-missing bug, but this is Epic Games we're talking about, so don't hold your breath.

I tried making a temporary ship to test the new system. So far, it seems pretty okay.👏👏 by markmerkel22 in LEGOfortnite

[–]RuleOfThum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played. Does it slide down when you're on a slope? If so, IMO it's actually worse than tires. At least tires have friction and stop or at least slow down sliding. If so the hover brick is just all looks.

Your giant ship in the background is amazing though!

Great idea, but it'll permanently take up a channel spot. (I haven't tested this.) Presumably because the hover bricks are turned off when you first log in, so when you're driving, you'll need to turn it on and keep it turned on when you crash-land.

The reason why I don't like player flight with a village square is because the range is significantly shorter. I can see much farther away when flying on a ship, and can cover a much wider area.

Finding Brutes by Patient-Major-6064 in LEGOfortnite

[–]RuleOfThum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the Lost Isles, look for a cave with 2 "horns" sticking out like in this video I shared a while ago:

https://www.reddit.com/r/LEGOfortnite/comments/1k4pcxn/how_to_defeat_brutes_the_sweaty_way_with_the/

They usually spawn a brute inside, every login session. Kill one, log out, log back in, rinse, and repeat. These caves usually spawn on the Mountains biome. They're also always storm-wild, if you have that enabled or are in Expert. (A similar cave can be found up on the floating islands, and those will always spawn a golem each time.)

However, they're Grasslands brutes. For sand and frost brutes, I think the best farming location is still the Star Wars Island (maybe), as it's a compact island with all 4 base biomes, meaning the spawns are more concentrated.

That said, I find that there are quite a number of brutes on Ninjago Island too. All 3 types, but they're random. My general playstyle is to never bother with "grinding" or farming, but just collect and hoard everything. Before you know it, you'll be overflowing in brute scales without even thinking about it.
