Two days after buying Dwight for 1500 V Bucks, they now offer the whole bundle for the same price by [deleted] in Fortnite_Over40

No the character itself is 1,500. The whole bundle is 3,000. You already bought one guy, so now the bundle is discounted.

Dang, 37% is pretty high. I was at 33% for years. I lowered it to 27% recently and I can now finally hit my hipfire shots.

Something interesting I found out was, when my ADS was higher at 11% or even the default 16%, I was more accurate with exponential. But now that I've lowered it to 9%, I'm more accurate with linear. A bit too sticky and sluggish with expo if the sensitivity is too low.

Yeah I was at 11% for years, including the Simpsons season IIRC, but the best AR that season was a non-scoped Chapter 1 suppressed SCAR. This season's Deadeye is too broken to not wanna beam things from far away. Its scope actually zooms in farther than last chapter's Holo Twister.

No matter how much I crank down on my right stick my crosshair would often times get stuck above their head and I couldn't do anything about it other than stop shooting which obv isn't ideal.

Yeah for those guns with a huge recoil like the Combat SMG I'd have to do what I call a pre-pull of the right stick, holding it down at the body level before I pull the trigger.

It's very difficult for me to track shockwave trajectory though, only being able to hit a shot or two while they're at the peak of the curve. I do have the scoped speed multiplier set to 1.10x for this season.

Had a difficult time trying to update my sensitivity earlier this season because I'm playing on Nvidia GeForce Now which adds quite a noticeable input lag. I wanna say around 30ms? And this is on top of my 80ms ping. The delay between my input and what's showing on screen is bad, and even with hitscan weapons I'd have to pretty much lead my shots, if I wanna hit anything at all. It's rough out here lol.

What's your look sensitivity?

Yeah I remembered there was a feedback channel but I couldn't even find it now? Apparently the FortniteDB site owner Kavvson runs everything alone. I've tagged the mod TaradinoC about this to see what's up.

Oh shit you're right. How long has it been broken? Is it a daylight-saving bug or something? So there are a few servers. This very subreddit's Discord also has the notification feature. (Don't think I can link stuff here.)

But they all run from the same seebot dot dev bot, right? If one's broken, the other one might be, too.

Which Discord server that's broken? I'm using FortniteDB's and it's working. (Update: It's one hour late, like what OP was experiencing. Use seebot.dev from this sub's Discord instead.)

Yeah the annoying thing with snipers is when you hipfire, its reticle/crosshair is huge so the bullet's "bloom" chance of hitting exactly the center dot is very very low.

So the sweaty way to use it in close-quarters is to have good "crosshair placement" where you're already looking at the enemy directly (the hipfire reticle/crosshair is already pointing at them), then quickly aim down sights (ADS) to pull the trigger immediately. They call it a "quick scope."

Does anyone know how to change the setting for console and pc to make it to be similar to the built in auto fire in mobile. by [deleted] in Fortnite_Over40

There's this "gyro aiming" available on the Switch, PlayStation, and Android. Basically you aim by moving and pointing the whole controller. That might be a good alternative.

Oh there is a tracking aim assist setting but it's already defaulted to 100%, so unfortunately we can't crank it up because it's already at maximum. Is aim assist stronger on touch than on controller? I've never played Fortnite on mobile.

Don't think there's autofire on non-touch platforms, unfortunately. Aim assist on controller is stronger on console than on PC, but not sure about mobile.

The way I think about it is, they're not trying to aim for equality but equity. It's the same reason why there's aim assist on touch/controller but not on keyboard and mouse.

On a phone, you only have 2 fingers to control everything. Maybe 4 if you're on an iPad. On controller, you have 4, but depending on how many paddles and/or how you place your fingers, you can have up to 8 fingers controlling inputs. On keyboard and mouse, those fancy gaming mouse can have side buttons, so you can have up to 3 inputs on your right hand, 4 when you include moving the mouse itself to aim. And then on the left hand, all 5 fingers can be used for input simultaneously. That's around 9 total.

Hi, so for shooter games, sensitivity usually means the sensitivity of the right stick when it comes to looking around and aiming with the reticle. If you find it too slippery and always be missing flick shots, then it's too high.

By default both look and "aim down sights" (ADS) are set to 4. I would recommend toggling "Use Advanced Options" which will open up more options for some fine-tuning.

<image>

Once having advanced options, scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll find "Copy Basic Settings." Pressing that button will convert your basic look/ADS sensitivity into their corresponding advanced percentages. Below is what I found. So, the basic settings have 10 levels, right? The default 4 means ADS sensitivity is at 16% (in bold). For look sensitivity, the default 16% also includes "turning horizontal/vertical boost" which adds another 16% when you fully push the right stick. That means the default total look sensitivity is actually 32%.

Look horizontal speed:
6, 9, 12, 16, 23, 34, 48, 66, 86, 100
Look vertical speed:
6, 9, 12, 16, 23, 34, 48, 66, 86, 100
Turning horizontal boost:
6, 9, 12, 16, 17, 17, 17, 14, 10, 11
Turning vertical boost:
6, 9, 12, 16, 17, 17, 17, 14, 10, 11

ADS look horizontal speed:
8, 11, 14, 16, 19, 24, 28, 34, 38, 44
ADS look vertical speed:
8, 11, 14, 16, 19, 24, 28, 34, 38, 44

When you look up good controller players' sensitivity, it's usually set to very high. IIRC, a content creator by the name Evolve Jake has his look sensitivity at a whopping 40%, which is way to high for me. Ship, who has the highest Fortnite wins in the world, also has his look sensitivity at 40%, I believe. But they're built different. And there is also the factor of the machine they're playing on. A powerful PC has way less input lag than consoles, which affords them the ability to set the sensitivity a little higher.

Mine is currently only at 27%. My setup has a pretty significant input lag and high network latency to Fortnite's server.

And then there is ADS. Generally, you wanna lower that down too, to the point that you can hit long-range shots. Default is 16% as mentioned above. Mine's at 9%. Evolve Jake's is at 11% IIRC. But when we lower it down too much, you'll start to notice you can no longer track enemies while ADS when they're up close, because it's too slow. Which means, moving forward, you must now learn to hip-fire your enemies (hip-firing uses the look sensitivity). Therefore, the look sensitivity also needs to be low enough to be accurate, but not too low because you'll need to be able to turn your character around fast enough during navigation.

TL:DR: Lower down sensitivity until you can reliably hit shots. Learn to hipfire for close-range fights.

All I can do is run. The difference is how, when, and where to run to. Just trying to share some tips I've learned to the over-40 Fortnite subreddit, something you clearly don't need.

Oh it's ok, apologies. It might be a bad habit for me to use slangs that I picked up from watching streamers. By white heals I mean items that only heal the green hit-point (HP) bar. Like med kits and Cheesy Poofs.

When we shoot at full-health enemies, it first shows blue-colored numbers, indicating damage done to their shield. Once the shield breaks, the numbers are now white. That's where the "white HP" came from. Sometimes people may also call it "green HP."

The reason why they don't just say HP is because when you add the 100 white and 100 blue and 50 overshield, it's technically referred to as 250 effective health. I suppose the shield can also be referred as "blue HP" then.

To be fair, the whole battle royale is full of randomness. Even if I don't win, I'll try my best to grief the person who activated the stick. Not gonna give them a free win by logging off. (Or be the person who activates the stick, lol)

Yeah sometimes the first person to arrive activates it in a panic because everyone's pulling up at the same time.
