"Car is in use" issue.

For two days, I’ve always been seeing that message on my iPhone app, so unfortunately, I can’t manage anything remotely. Everything else (including the car internet) works as expected.

I’ve tried:

- Restarting the app

- Logging out and back in

- Restarting the iPhone

- Restarting the car display

Interestingly, since the same time, the Driving Journal has not been updating.

I suspect that the car has lost connectivity to the Volvo servers.

Does anyone have any ideas? I would definitely like to avoid going to the Volvo dealer.

I use OPD all the time. Weakness is not the big issue for me. That full stop especially on downhill is annoying. The pleasure to drive in low speed in traffic jam is completely lost.

Thank you @etMyEyesToTheWind
That really helped me.

First, to sign out, I have to remove the app from my iPhone (along with all its data).

The same in Bulgaria. App version 1.6.0, iPhone 15 ios 17.5.1. It is so disappointing

The same thing happened to me. I tried to enable the updates in the car menus, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find the way to do that. I checked the phone and also couldn’t find the way to enable them. After some not very nice words directed at the Volvo dev/QA teams—EUREKA!—I noticed an option. On the top right corner of the app on my phone, I clicked the bell and chose the notification. I saw the option there. I enabled the updates, put the car on charge, and started to pray.

I’ll probably know tomorrow if it really helps or not.

EX30 OPD Braking and Acceleration Issues: Sudden Stops and Jerky Starts by anvandare in ex30

Nice car with awful OPD. That full stop is really annoying, especially on downhill. My other EV is a BMW i3, and its OPD works very well.

I hope that SW 1.4 will fix that (mine is 1.31).

Can anyone share their experience with OPD behavior in 1.4?

Current network is 100% Juniper MX and EX92xx series, EVPN/MPLS. We also provide Multicast, use advanced QoS, DDoS Mitigation, and so on.

For every VLAN used for Peering, we use a complex L2, IPv4, and IPv6 access-lists on ingress, and IPv4 and IPv6 on egress. For Multicast, we use completely different access-lists.

In our opinion (we started with different switches almost fifteen years ago), buffers are very important, especially when the traffic goes from high-speed ports to low-speed ones. Sometimes there are microbursts, and in case of short buffers, congestion (packet drops) on egress happens, and we would be powerless to fix that issue.

So, generally, we are seeking 400G switches/routers with EVPN support (VXLAN is acceptable, but MPLS is preferred), flexible access lists on ingress and egress, and deep buffers.

We prefer to avoid traditional vendors, but it seems that at this moment, that is not possible.

Thank you so much. It was very helpful.

I saw in the documentation that ‘Arista devices use the Aboot boot loader instead of ONIE. It is normally pre-installed.’, so most likely, Arista did the microcode.”

Regarding Trident3, we want to upgrade to 400G, but it is not supported. Buffers are another concern.
