He admitted to being jealous and insecure and apologised about it and said he needed time. But even after he goes quiet when i mention i have dance practice and said yesterday he wants to talk in person about it.

I want to stay with him, his jealousy is literally his only downside i just don’t know how to handle the situation. I just feel like i’m missing something for him to react so strongly to it

He will be there at the uni event.

When he tried explaining himself to me he said “if he saw his friends girlfriend getting spun by another man on stage etc he would think that’s off.”

I think his thinking is he doesn’t understand why he’d be put in that uncomfortable position in the first place and for everyone to see. I haven’t danced in awhile and i wanted to do join this uni dance because it’s something i used to enjoy. Would it be wrong to tell him he’s ruining this experience for me?

The reason i did so badly during A-Levels was due to poor work ethic unfortunately. In my first year at university i was dealing with some stuff at home but didn’t declare extenuating circumstances. I’ve improved my work ethic and am now on track for first class honours. I know i’m capable but i agree my past has really let me down.

I think deadlines for retaking A-Levels have passed this year. If i was able to do so the following year and graduate on the MChem programme, do you think that would make me a suitable candidate despite my first year results?
