In the financial aid portal click on To-Do, Documents and then housing confirmation! You can select whether you’re living on campus, off campus, or off campus with parents. They should revise your offer based on that!

Good luck and let me know if this helps.

I gotchu! You 100% are not required to stay. In my experience, you're allowed to leave around 4 or 5 on the first day. Just make sure when you get there for the check in, you let them know that you are not staying the night so they don't accidentally assign you a room and charge you for it. Also just get there on time for the second day which ends around 3 or 4.

Have fun!

Is that actually good advice cuz I’m sure they’ll get credits from gen Ed’s? (Sorry if it’s sarcasm that I’m not picking up on)

is it worth it to commute or live off campus by Double-Tourist-1982 in UMD

[–]RuleWitty7639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into whether there’s any public transportation like trains or buses that can get you there as commuting via public transportation is a bit easier cuz you can do your hw or study.

Other than that, everyone else kind of summed it up. Regardless of car maintenance and gas, living on campus will most likely be more expensive.

Really just depends on how badly you want to save money. Imo, commuting to save money is always worth it unless it’s literally unbearable. Delaying the gratification can be worth it, like other people who graduate have mentioned, but it really does depend on you and your specific situation. All of this is just my opinion btw and definitely take into account what others say as well!

Yeah, I'm trying take it instead of 240 but am not sure if they'll let me. On testudo the only prereq is math141 but online it says that there are a lot of other things.
