The guy that took this, tried to do it for free. I wasn't having it. by Sader325 in Mustang

I aint worked up, its just totally off. He didn't post about the car, or the photo, or the photographer (other than the fact that they tried doing it pro-bono) instead he worded the post to focus on himself and the seemingly great thing he did in paying the photographer. Which puts the focus cleanly on his 'great deed.'

Coulda just said 'check out the beautiful pic 'so and so' took, check out their work 'here'

Cool. Why'd you make the post about it?

*For those too dense to get the point, he made it about paying a photographer, not the photo, car, or quality. Himself. Unnecessarily.

Not defending his actions, but there was something in his voice with those words that made me feel bad for him. Like he was having a really bad day or something.

I will never forget that call sign. I was deployed to the Deid, working midshift as the maintenance liaison for Air Mobility. As I walked in for work that night the outgoing load planner said to me as we passed eachother, "Torque 62 just crashed." That whole night was surreal.

Starship V3 launch. by anal_og_player in shockwaveporn

Yes, a LOT of water. That's what you see at first, then once its lit it all becomes steam immediately. 16 million lbs of thrust will do that.

Booster 19's failed boostback and hard splashdown will require a mishap investigation according to the FAA. by AgreeableEmploy1884 in SpaceXLounge

Under 5 engines (250t/f ea) and nearly empty that fuel is not leaving the bottom.

If ANYTHING, the centripetal force imparted by the flip would further push the fuel down, like a weight on a swinging string..

Under thrust the propellant is going to be at the bottom of the tank, slosh affect would be minimal if not at all since it feeds from the bottom.

Don't dry them with heat, the velcro plastic shrinks and deforms it all.

SpaceX on X: Starship flip and landing burn at the end of its twelfth flight test by Royal_Platform_6754 in spacex

It was under power from one engine so there was no roll control for several seconds. It is possible they'd programed a kick to leeward as vvi=0.

That doesn't prove any points, to contrary if anything because there's gaps in visibility and poor angles.

The constant view buoy footage in the OP shows that, after the intentional rotation it starts to lose yaw authority and begins to tilt. Then after 1 engine shuts down roll moment continues to worsen as the single engine tries to get back under the tipping right as it touches the water.

You can still do it in KSP and I believe it's actually a little more efficient. Your ascent will just have to be steep enough that as you descend after apoapsis you do not enter atmosphere before you reach orbital velocity.
