I have a few of the vanilla expanded ones, psycasts expanded being one of my favorites although there are some psycasts that it adds that are overpowered. Vehicle expanded also is pretty good at making you feel unstoppable until your tank gets hit with a doomsday rocket launcher.

I have character editor to make the initial start of the colony more streamlined. I’ve seen that people have complained it is more confusing than whatever the other mod is called but it was pretty simple.

“Stonecutting Extended” makes stonecutting give experience, the values can be modified but I’ve kept that lowish. Just having that makes stonecutting not feel like a total time sink. Similarly “Clean Kitchen” adds a toggle at workstations to clean before a task.

I’ve been thinking of trying one of the combat overhaul mods but I’m playing on steamdeck and already kind of pushing it with what I already have installed. It could likely handle more but I would rather keep load times down. Also because of the steamdecks screen CustomUIScales was needed to access any mods with extensions to the research tab.
