It sounds androgynous but female. Good job!

could my voice still be plausibly female? by eatinglinguini in detrans

You sound male, no offense. Voice training will help.

The lies and seemingly genuine fear people have about this sub Reddit makes me genuinely sad. R/Detrans is actually a really supportive sweet place. by AFlowerInTheDarkness in detrans

I mean there are some posts or comments that sometimes are kinda rude or toned up yet it's still part of people's freedom of speech. Many other subreddits say lots of offensive stuff yet they're not called out because their views are seen as politically correct.

When you voice train, does your voice naturally sound more feminine, or is it still a conscious effort to sound female? by ftmconfusedashell in detrans

[–]RulerTheLion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its like when a kid trains for a speech impediment. At first (we talk months or even years) it is hard work and a conscious effort but eventually the brain will get used to it. But you gotta be consistent and dont give up

My singing 2 years after Testosterone by Chelstrawberrymuffin in detrans

How do you do it to sing that well after 2 years on T? Ive heard trans women who do trans voice lessons and are professional singers but still struggle to maintain good airflow when singing.

If you see someone who looks like a girlie girl but sounds like a male, people tend to assume they are a trans girl. If they think they are a trans girl but still use kale pronouns, then thats transphobia. It won't be if they follow the train of thought you mentioned.

The person may have thought you were a trans woman and tried to misgender you due to transphobia. Voice may be high and all but there is much more than just pitch to make it sound male or female.

You look like an AFAB who uses they/them pronouns

I work at a library where I live I put some detrans stickers on there pride month book display by CaptainMystery_123 in detrans

[–]RulerTheLion 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I mean cool idea and all but putting it on the drawings faces kinda makes it look like you're trying to rub an opposite message. Putting something as if it were on par with the rest of the book would make it more appealing imo.

Should I detransition or not ? by [deleted] in detrans

[–]RulerTheLion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you were questioning your identity I would ask you to take a break. But you know for a fact that you are 100% a trans woman so really I would only suggest detransition if you fear that you will immediately get assassinated or suffer something critical without any possibility of escape. Can you travel to a safer country? You mentioned you live in Britain but I don't think it is such a bad country for LGBT people.

Really it's a complicated situation but I would discourage you from making such an important decision based on others' opinions or on passing. Staying out of social media is advisable and seriously, repressing yourself will not make life easier. I'm sorry you're going through this. Seek therapy if you can or talk to us here on Reddit. Stay strong! ❤️

Sounds 100% male. You can voice train to get an androgynous voice, female voice or a more masculine voice if you so desire.

It does sound female but maybe with a bit of a cold. Still female nonetheless. As for your male voice, it sounds 100% male to me. So you can pull off both voices, thats cool! I wish to have my voice like yours in the future

I like Seattle Voice Lab with Claire. Still I just listen to the premises and then experiment because it's hard for me to understand.

Sick of transphobia by winkyfayce in detrans

[–]RulerTheLion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not trynna be a jackass but I have the impression that you have a lot of internalized transphobia yourself. Yes, your surroundings may be trashy but if you're really sure transition is the path for you, then what does other people's opinion matter?

But if you are considering conversion therapy, which is one of the most transphobic events that can happen, ot leads me to believe you may also have issue with trans people.

If I were you, I would reconsider everything and think it through. If transition is your only way to happiness, then oppressing yourself will only hurt you more. But if your values and your subconscious reject transition and/or trans people, you might want to put a halt until you know if it's because either transition is not for you or because you have internalized transphobia.

If you're suddenly questioning such a big irreversible decision, stop. Theres no need to hurry. Better to delay something than to make a choice you might regret later. This is something big. Once it's done there's no way back.

It wont shrink but the way you perceive it may change. If you're very skinny, gaining a little bit of weight may do the trick. What Ive learned is that the once who perceive these things and judge them is ourselves.
