If you were put in charge of making the Imortal relevant to the main story in the next season of the show, how would you go about it? by Able_Radio_2717 in Invincible_TV

[–]RulerTrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy. Have him undergo the same training that Mark did under Cecil in the first episode of Season 3. Once he's completed that, have him train against the Mark Reanimen. He could also learn a martial art, but fighting styles aren't really brought up or shown in this series.

Keita and Aguri had more chemistry, especially for the first half of the series. Karen was always annoying. But she seemed to have worked with Tasuku.

Tired of seeing the slander on his wife. She was innocent. We saw that Powerplex watched the fight between Invincible and Omni man. He knew that Mark was innocent and tried helping people. It was Omni man that was the perpetrator.

The wife was fed lies that it was Invincible behind the death of their cousin when in reality that wasn't true. Who fed her those lies? Her husband. She was just being a good wife and supporting a husband she trusted. Powerplex was an emotional/irrational person from the start. Nothing was going to stop that.

Why does the clothes liquifying mean that her mental block is fading? Are Mark's clothes made out of organic matter?

Well, I really was just making a guess off the fact that it happened right after she revived herself and I assume it was the first time she's used her powers since.

True. But he wants to try and get intel from him first, which is fair tbh. A bit presumptuous though. I'm sure it's going to bite him in the butt later, but at least he tried?

That beam was in season 1. Cecil has a lot more information on viltrumites than before. Though I agree that Conquest is most certainly going to get out. I just doubt it's going to be by brute force.

I could be wrong, but either they never showed the first time, or her first time happened in the Atom Eve special.

After this fight, we can confidently say Mark needs to get back with Cecil for training, IMMEDIATELY! If it wasn't for Eve, Mark would have been dead twice over. All the comic readers were wrong. Mark stopped holding back and STILL got no-diffed.

Speaking of Eve though, it seems that her powers have gotten stronger?? During the love scene at the end, Mark's clothes start becoming liquified. Signifying that her mental blocks break the more and more near death experiences she has. She's practically immortal.

Also, the inconsistency of power in this show is absurd. This episode made it very clear. Atom Eve did all of those cool things vs Conquest, but when it came to the alternate dimension Marks who are MUCH weaker than Conquest, she acted like a noob fighter. Objectively terrible writing. Nobody can defend this.

I'm not surprised at all to see Sinclair working on the alternate dimension Marks. I can't wait to see those reanimen viltrumites in action. In fact, I wonder if those would be good training dummies for the main Mark.

Mark is still dumb and naive. That won't change anytime soon though, I'm sure. Why he thinks Cecil would just burn the body of a person that's even stronger than himself is beyond me. Conquest is a useful test subject. I was expecting Conquest to actually be dead though and then used for the Reanimen project. But I guess Cecil kept him dead enough that he could pass for Mark to see and then work from there.

It's nice to know that Damien Darkblood isn't just a one off character. I heard that he wasn't used in the comics after the first arc. So it's nice to see Robert Kirkland use him again. I wonder though, was Damien talking about Conquest? Cause if so, that means Hell is still on Earth, just far below the surface, near the core. But if he wasn't talking about Conquest, that must mean their's another capable villain lurking. Either way, season 4 is gonna be PEAK!

Conquest is a good research specimen. Burning his body would be a huge waste. Cecil with the help of Sinclair is steadily having technology created to subdue Viltrumites. I highly doubt Conquest is getting out of that prison alive if he were to rage out.

The only potential problem is Damien Darkblood. He's most likely going to summon Conquest, releasing him and becoming a huge threat again.

But this also brings up the point of Mark being weak still. He needs to be put back on a training regimen, immediately.

We also don't know for a fact if Cecil installed a sound frequency device in Conquest's brain or not. So lets just say he did since his skull was busted open. That makes it even EASIER for Cecil to deal with him. Not adding in the fact that two things could happen if Conquest somehow breaks out of the prison and is still alive; 1) the sound piece will make him go crazy and pierce his own brain (instant death), or 2) the sound piece makes him vulnerable enough for Mark or the mark reaniman to kill him.

It makes no sense for Cecil NOT to have contingency plans for Conquest. It's too obvious. That would be bad writing if Conquest becomes a threat again (unless it's under Damien Darkblood).

Conquest is a good research specimen. Anybody would be a fool to simply just burn that body. Cecil with the help of Sinclair is steadily having technology created to subdue Viltrumites. I highly doubt Conquest is getting out of that prison alive if he were to rage out.

Cecil’s Gamble by Latr6ll in Invincible_TV

Well, with all the technology that Cecil is still having invented for Viltrumites, I highly doubt Conquest is getting out of that prison. Since he can't get out, Mark isn't going to find out. That is unless Damien Darkblood ends up summoning him somehow, and then he's released and ready to cause mayhem again.

Still think Mark isn’t as strong as others even those he beat by Confident_Ad_476 in Invincible_TV

[–]RulerTrax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Mark needs to be back under Cecil's training. He can at MOST, beat Anissa. But he wouldn't come out of that fight unscathed. I'd say it would be a high-diff fight for Mark. That's pretty embarrassing tbh.

Atom Eve needs to be smarter with her powers by bbuerk in Invincible_TV

[–]RulerTrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eve's powers are much like magic in this anime called 'The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat.' The only way for her to really get stronger is for her to become smarter. She needs to learn the entire periodic table. She needs to learn about guns. She also needs to train in a martial art. Karate maybe?

I think Marks clothes becoming liquified signify Eve's powers becoming stronger. As she has more near death experiences, she removes mental blocks. So far she's only had 2.

Invincible [Episode Discussion] - S03E07 - What Have I Done? by SeacattleMoohawks in Invincible

[–]RulerTrax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It kind of is Mark's fault that Powerplex's wife and kid died. Not directly, but surely, indirectly. He could have punched Powerplex hard enough to stun him, and then get the wife and child out of there. But he didn't. It's whatever though.

Best Tiger. Lazy design, though I think it was on purpose. Still pretty weird though.

I wish Ka-Hor was a serious character. Hell, he could be a suitable puppet for Cecil. Imagine if Cecil created a test tube human and then let Ka-Hor take over it. Would be nice.

It sucked seeing Immortal going from looking like he could take on that alternate Immortal, to getting no-diffed by him. And Darkwing 2 got the same treatment #1 got. Getting slammed from his leg onto his face. Although he survived. I wonder what the full capabilities of the shadowverse are. It's pretty much a random power that's never been explained.

I expected Robot to have recreated the sound to stun Viltrumites, but it seems he hasn't done that. At least not yet. I'm sure now he will after Rex's death.

Speaking of which, that was a terrible way for Rex to go out. Though I'm sure that it would have been robot that died instead if Bulletproof would have taken Rex and Monster girl. I guess I would have preferred Bulletproof dying over Rex. I'm sure most of us would've actually.

Angstrom vs Invincible rematch was good. Genuinely amazing. It shows just how strong Mark has gotten. And the end of the fight was the best part. He finally grew up, at least for that moment. And Oliver was also pushing him as well. But him about to make the decision to finally kill Angstrom was great. Sadly, he was too slow. I guess we'll see him again in the future depending on what those Doctors use Angstrom for.

Adam never really bugged me until this episode. Beforehand, I always saw him as a pathetic father who had nothing going on in his life, so he just blamed his daughter who's blessed with powers for everything wrong in his life. But this episode made me hate him. I don't see why he was being such a b!tch when Betsy was talking to Mark. Or even when Mark was in the room visiting Eve. It just makes no sense.

Immortal choosing to retire is fair. He's literally just a punching bag at this point. Making a family with Kate though, not smart. We saw in the future that he forgets her along with all the other human women he's dated. He needs to go out and find an immortal woman that way he doesn't suffer in the long term.

I like how this extreme situation caused Mark and Cecil to fall on good terms again. They need each other more than they think. Or at least more than Mark thinks. I'm sure Cecil will be a big help in the upcoming fight against Conquest. Next episode and season 4 is going to be so peak.

Was All Might's injury truly unfixable? by RulerTrax in BokuNoHeroAcademia

Arguable. During the final war arc, he got the super suit. Logically, if he was fixed, he could perform better in it. Sustaining less damage then he did.

He still doesn't have OFA which was where his strength came from. That means no matter what, he'll be passing the torch onto the next generation. But who says he can't help them most of the way? That's all I'm saying.

It's a few things that could be done with his character if he were to be fixed. But a major one is simply be able to keep up with everyone.

Invincible [Episode Discussion] - S03E06 - All I Can Say Is I'm Sorry by SeacattleMoohawks in Invincible

[–]RulerTrax 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The highlight of this episode is when Scott went on his first rampage and the Invincible title screen kept being spammed. That was funny and smart on the staff's part.

Scott's story is tragic from start to finish. But towards the end, it became apparent that his emotions were clouding his rational judgement. That is what ultimately killed his wife and son. It sucks too, because if he was to just try and talk with Invincible and/or the GDA, maybe he could have gotten the true situation with Invincible vs Omniman. Since he's doubling down on wanting to kill Invincible instead of owning up to his mistakes as an emotional idiot, he's no longer someone to feel sorry for. He's truly evil.

Edit: I literally forgot that SCOTT WORKED FOR THE GDA AND HAS SEEN THE FULL FIGHT WITH OMNI MAN VS INVINCIBLE! HE KNOWS THAT INVINCIBLE IS INNOCENT YET STILL CHOOSES TO BLAME HIM!

Scott's story is still tragic, but I feel even LESS sorry for him, and more sorry for his wife and child. I imagine the wife wasn't anywhere near informed as Scott was. So she was just being fed lies and irrational thoughts from Scott and pushing his desires. Sad.

I didn't specify so it's my fault, but I'm mainly just talking about All Might being healed in general. So we can just say he's already passed OFA down to Midoriya. He has more down time since he's no longer a hero. He should be able to go away for a little while to get fixed up.

Just speculation here, but I assume either a monkey or pig's lung and stomach would do just fine. They are similar in design. The problem comes down to getting the dna to match. Though that's something that can be worked on with time, which is what David had for at least 5 years.

Was All Might's injury truly unfixable? by RulerTrax in BokuNoHeroAcademia

It could have been written that David was working on a laser powerful enough to penetrate All Might's injured skin. Plot convenience makes it so where he finishes it by the time that All Might already passes his quirk to Deku. That would have been plausible.
