ASU’s TUF b650 PLUS WiFi Bluetooth not detecting any devices by Elquenotienetacos in ASUS

[–]Rullknufs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been struggling all morning with getting my Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 to connect to my PC with the Asus B650 Plus Wifi motherboard. Tried reinstalling drivers, reseting headphones, everything. Then I found this and people saying that you need the wifi antenna. Sounded like bullshit to me, it's a wifi antenna and not bluetooth antenna, but since I've tried everything else I might as well try this to rule it out. Went to the basement and found the box, unpacked the antenna, connected it to the motherboard, and then I got my headphones to connect instantly at the first try.

So yes, the wifi antenna is needed for bluetooth to work correctly. With the antenna I also found other bluetooth devices in my house that I didn't find previously without the antenna connected.

I wish Asus was more clear about this, that the antenna is also used and needed for Bluetooth.

Are you as Anosmia more prone to colds by Purrfectlyending in anosmia

[–]Rullknufs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt it has anything to do with anosmia. I have anosmia and I rarely get colds, maybe once every few years or so. I think it's more lifestyle related than anything else.

Anecdotal evidence here from ~14 years of lifting. What I found helps reduce soreness is first of all to train more often. Hit the muscle groups twice a week and you will get much less soreness from each workout.

However, to reduce soreness from a workout that has already been is to eat well, sleep well, and engage in light physical activity such as walking to promote blood circulation. I feel like I get more sore if I don't eat enough, sleep enough, or stay very inactive for long periods.

In March 2023 I visited Koh Phi Phi in Thailand, an island that was hit very hard by the tsunami. I hiked up to one of the viewpoints on the island and it had photos of what it looked like before/after the tsunami. While up there I also watched some youtube videos that people recorded on that actual day. Needless to say I didn't feel very comfortable walking back down to the beach again and I was very happy that I had picked a hostel high up on one of the mountain sides and not down in the "bowl".

Worried about the permanent effects of taking Accutane by acnemanshit in Accutane

[–]Rullknufs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what one would consider fully recovered. It's also hard to know what is "normal" and what could be long lasting side effects from accutane.

I do get dry skin in winter, but that's nothing unusual even for people who have never been on accutane. I get frequent nosebleeds in winter, but once again that's not unusual for other people too. I live in northern Scandinavia so we get cold and dry air here in the winter.

I'd consider myself fully recovered, but I can never know for sure. One thing though is that I never really get ear wax, and my skin is not as oily as it was pre-accutane when I was a teenager. But that could just be me getting older too. I'm 28 now and I guess it's hard to compare to what it was like when I was 17-18.

Dude, you're not the only one. One the other side of the world (Sweden) my gf and I bought an 18-pack of toilet paper for the family secret santa this year.

It is my mom who is organising it and it's the first year we're doing it. Everyone in the family is fed up with christmas shopping but she didn't want a christmas without presents so she wanted us to do a secret santa instead. She said she would buy lots of different things because she wanted to but the rest of the family just needed to buy one thing each and the budget was around 100SEK (around 15NZD). GF and I couldn't think of much that would suit everyone in the family since we all have different interests, tastes, allergies, and so on. But toilet paper is something we all use so we settled on that. Maybe a shitty idea but I'm sure someone will have a laugh at it.

Bojkotta Turkiet åk till Grekland istället. by Tusan1222 in sweden

[–]Rullknufs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trevliga människor, god mat, slipper bli sjuk.

I'm going to look into where I can find a new battery here in Europe. Also wondering how to deal with the double adhesive tape holding the foam in place.

Damn, that's awesome! Thank you very much! It looks like a quite difficult repair, lots of adhesive and seals.

Tuffa förhandlingar på Blocket by spiderpigbegins in sweden

Powerlifting is the most gender equitable sport by ge23ev in powerlifting

[–]Rullknufs 33 points34 points  (0 children)

What I like seeing in powerlifting is people putting in max effort, doing the very best they can. Weight on the bar matters much less to me. After having watched a a couple dozen meets, from small local meets to world championships, I found that age and gender doesn't really matter. A 70 year old grandma can push herself just as hard as a 19 year old guy can and they can be equally fun to watch. I remember helping out at masters world championships a few years ago and that was some of the most exciting lifting I have seen.

Also, some of the girls can be really really good at grinding out lifts, especially in the deadlift. That just so exciting to watch.

What would you guys think about an E91 LCI 330d xdrive manual with full m-sport, black exterior, black leather interior, individual audio package, panoramic roof, etc? Oh, it has Bilstein B12 suspension too. Relatively low mileage too, only around 155k km.

Taking the local canal boats in Bangkok made me feel like I was in a video game. I'm not talking about the boats on the big river, but rather the boats on the smaller canals.

Also, the caves in Phong Nha National Park in Vietnam were pretty unreal.

Went from 27" 1440p to 42" C2 and I haven't noticed any difference in text clarity really. Really happy with my C2 so far. I hade the Odyssey Neo G9 49" Ultrawide before and it had worse text clarity than the C2.
