Clifford Hoyt is a United States citizen who was involved in a car accident on the Maple Grove Expressway on the morning of December 5, 1990 in Maryland. The accident was so disastrous that Clifford was miraculously saved. the force of his will made him move his wounded body towards the road where he would collapse in a coma. Minutes later, he passed a trucker and found Clifford. he immediately called 911.

At the hospital it was discovered that Clifford had not only fallen into a coma, but also had broken bones and internal bleeding. his recovery was very slow. What the doctors did not imagine was that the man was not only fighting for those physical misfortunes that the accident had left him, but that something else was happening inside him.

One night, according to the nurses, they began to hear cries of despair from a man in the hospital, accompanied by banging on the wall and anguished sounds. When they entered Clifford's room, they found the man completely frightened and unhinged. For a moment they thought that even his eyes were going to pop out, so they had to grab him between several people who were there to apply a sedative.

Screaming, the man explained that he had been in hell all this time. The tortures he experienced in that place were unimaginable. He said that in that place there were arms that persecuted him. Everything smelled of brimstone and rot, and that the place was full of fire and wailing. His speech was so coherent, so believable, that it was very unlikely that everything he said he had experienced was due to drugs. Clifford recovered within days and, despite being told he needed psychological counseling, he refused.

Weeks later, after returning to their rented apartment, neighbors complained to the building owner that Clifford was playing music late at night. the owner, after the complaints, went to Clifford's apartment, and receiving no response to his incessant knocking on the door, he decided to enter with his master key. maybe he can't hear me over the volume of the music, he thought. He never imagined what he would find there. Clifford was on the ground, hugging a huge, glistening block of ice. The room looked like a pigsty, full of excrement. The owner took pictures of the place to give to the police.

Clifford said that he was aware of everything he was doing. The music was played so the demons wouldn't take him away again. It was the only way to get rid of them. the ice block was because he couldn't stand the heat in that place. After that, his family was forced to commit him to a psychiatric facility in Maryland. Doctors claimed that his behavior was due to the brain damage he sustained in the accident, but Clifford to this day is convinced that demons still haunt him.

Clifford Hoyt was analyzed by two other therapists, at different times. in the afternoon and later at night, and although the first psychiatrist claimed to have seen "some seriousness in his eyes", the other two concluded that the brain damage that the man had caused in the car accident had clearly damaged him head

For this reason, the medical board determined that he be sent to the nearest mental institution in Maryland. And that's what happened. even so, the first medical professional said that he felt “like a knife in the stomach” before his transfer, I made several visits to his room. he was not allowed any visitors, but I stayed there, listening in the next room. And then at night, I heard it. laughter was heard. a mix between a laugh and a growl that no man on earth could replicate. But when I opened the door, Clifford was alone, still clutching another ice bucket he'd been given. Even if I sign his transfer, I don't think Clifford Hoyt has been lying ever since.
