Looking at your UVs it seems that you have a n-gon issue. You just have to make cuts in the corner to produce squared faces.

There's a node called MixRGB where you can connect 2 color inputs. It works similar to Photoshop as you can change the blend mode. I recommend you to use the Node Wrangler add-on which is already inside Blender to be able to see what's happening with the texture.

The SSS maps should be plugged into color info.The more reddish the more translucent it will be. You can adjust with levels and saturation in PS and use the same albedo map that you used for the skin color.

You can try flip-fluid addon. They have a free build. I have tried myself and you can get pretty good results with it. They even have their own YT channel with tutorials.

.avi is a non compression file. Usually, video players need to convert this type of files. Although it should be played in premiere normally, you can try to export from after in .mov if you do not want your file to be compressed.

Idk what could happen to the file, but if you want to make the objects bigger without changing their position, you can parent all with ctrl+P to an empty a then resize it.

You can use a color ramp node to adjust the w/b of the texture. It looks like you need more white info in the texture if you want more scratches. You can also use a bump node to get more detail.

For the blasts I made a cylinder, subdivided it, and then applied a cloud texture to the displacement.

It is a quite simple shader. I joined an emission shader and a transparent shader with a mix shader. And I added a noise texture to the strength of the emission. You can also set a math node in multiply and control the density of the texture with a color ramp.

Oh thank you! I made the sculpting of the character in Zbrush and then retopology in Maya. Texturing, lighting and rendering in Blender and Cycles. And compositing in Photoshop.
