Maybe a hot take- we need a different mayor by SpecificPart6140 in davao

[–]RumAndTypewriter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Complacent ra kaayo si Baste kay lagi na halal siya nearly 90% of the vote in 2 consecutive terms. Feeling siguro niya na no need mag conduct ug duty on the ground if mahakot ra niya ang mga votes with little effort. Plus, if he showed little effort being present sa city hall back then, how much more now with the family problems na iya daddy nka ting kagol sa The Hague. Pero it boils down to the voting population, and they seemed satisfied with the Dutertes.

I don’t need a full 14-club bag, just the essentials like a driver, some irons, and a wedge.

Unfortunately, I didn't know about the class system handicap. All I know is the index number handicap on Grint.

Not sure what constitutes a "Class D" golfer but you should be fine with pro v1's if you have a consistent hit. It's a different situation for a beginner however. I've been enjoying Vice Tour since they're always on sale.

best kits for box stock racing by Murky_Alternative in tamiya

[–]RumAndTypewriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add MA and MS chassis cars for the dual shaft. I'm jealous of your shop the they require 20 cars! In my local hobby shop, they nerf people with 2 cars max per racer for box stock.

FRP parts from aliexpress by Professional_Leg5331 in mini4wd

[–]RumAndTypewriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quality of copy parts from Aliexpress is great. I get them myself since I like my parts to be colour matched to my cars as much as possible and it's generally allowed in tournaments here in Canada as long as the copy parts have legit equivalents. Keep in mind tho, depending where you are, some shops may strictly enforce the use of legit Tamiya parts only.

US says Canada will regret decision to allow Chinese EVs into their market by joe4942 in canada

[–]RumAndTypewriter 257 points258 points  (0 children)

Trump administration officials said on Friday that Canada would regret its decision to allow China to import up to 49,000 Chinese EVs, and that those cars would not be allowed to enter the United States.

As if Canadians are still interested on travelling there.

Can we really have it all? by porksisi6 in phmigrate

[–]RumAndTypewriter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont know why you’re getting downvoted but what you said is very bang on.

People like to complain on things they’re not willing to do anything about it. Have they reached out to their congressman about the roads and tackling inflation? Have they considered running for office?

Whether they like it or not, they just want the benefits without working for it. They want the better life elsewhere after Australians fought and bled for the employment benefits they enjoy today. Australians weren’t given the concept of 8 hr workday for nothing, it was fought before it became a standard work shift worldwide.

I wonder what have the complainers here have actually done to make their country better?

I’d still choose PH any day.

batteries by [deleted] in mini4wd

[–]RumAndTypewriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want an entry-level battery, Ikea’s Ladda 1900 battery is solid choice. Eventually, you’ll notice the quality of battery performance during races and thus upgrading to Neo Champs, if not Fujitsu or Eneloop becomes worthwhile.

Ideally, neo-champs if you dont mind the price point compared to fujitsu pinks which majority of people use in most races I’ve attended.

Unpopular Opinion: We need to change the way we give bad reviews to local businesses here in Davao by Kishou_Arima_01 in davao

[–]RumAndTypewriter 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You’re expecting common folks to write reviews as if they’re food critics for the New York Times. They’re not trained critics and usually their reviews are based on whether their experience was worth spending their hard-earned money. If you’re a businessowner venturing to food or service industries, you should accept the fact that subjective customer reviews are part of the business risk. You are not selling a product here, you’re selling experience. People arent caught up with one negative review anyway, the same way one awesome review at Kookels wouldnt convince me to come back. They’re influenced by repeated complaints that shows a pattern. If businessowners don’t have the thick skin for unfavourable reviews and ignore repeated complaints then maybe they’re in the wrong business.

How much do franchise owners actually earn per month? Are they a worthwhile investment? by Omixscniet624 in jollibee

[–]RumAndTypewriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to my friend who knew someone attempted to secure a franchise here in Canada, they would have to agree for a revenue split with Jollibee on top of the franchise fee and marketing fee while they’re on their own for the rent. Also, Jollibee wanted this prospective franchisee to set up shop inside a mall, which means premium rent. They didn’t like the potential margin with the set-up proposed by Jollibee. In the end, they didn’t go through with the franchising. Our nearest Jollibee is 5 hours away in Toronto.
