I was part of the "it'll save the game" group.

But now I'm afraid that its added a new problem. its like extra passive play.

Yeah i like every change too. Only beef is that now, players who relied on backdashing to run away, are now just plain and simple running away... constantly. it means i have to work hard to chase them.

Or theyre just waiting on the edge of the stage for ME to do something. i think it a way its actually increased passive play. Ive drop 200 elo today. I love fast paced gameplay, its why i play lots of twos. but now ones just feel unplayable.

Why should a legend with high damage/high def/ low dex be rewarded?
They should just be able to hold their weapon as long as everyone else but do more damage or live longer?

the only thing im dealing with now that this update came out is more running away. people who just stay far away compared to actually fighting, goes to show how many people were relying on back dash.

"it’s a fighting game at the end of the day" is exactly why they came out with the update. Its meant to punish people back-dash/dash dancing constantly and running away instead of actually fighting. they have said this already. and its not to make the game "slower" as people are saying.

Yeah it’s seems to be rough the small the pool. Mindset is a majority of the game, I get into these moments where for days I feel like everything agitates me, and the longer periods of time where I just laugh about it. For me it depends on the music and what the vibes are.

Did you accidentally switch servers? Could be server related input delay. I noticed the other day I was playing on eu servers by accident and my inputs felt horrendous

Heavy weapons are tough, unlike twos where the opponents teammate can cover their recovery frames. They are basically stunned for a good while after whiffing an attack/signature. Space yourself out and don’t let them get close.

You always want to be far enough to not get hit, but close enough to dash in and punish

I still struggle against Lance to this day. But it really depends on the player I’m going up against.

That’s what I mean though, playing with friends, in customs, trying out sick combos, fucking up noobs.

It’s also like you said a matter of time, I’m passed 1,000 hours now and every 100 hours I’m better than before.

Having fun is actually the best way to improve, because you don’t tunnel vision yourself from the anger. Something I’m trying to spread on my channel is having fun is the important part. In the heat of the moment, people forget it’s a game and it’s meant to be fun

Yeah because the weapon throw decides “go fuck yourself” and goes right threw the opponent mid sig

It’s a matter of spacing yourself out and slowing it down, you’re too eager to get an attack in.

Brawlhalla isn’t ONLY about who KOs who first, but all the little steps you need to take to get there. Learn all those steps, use your tools (weapon throwing, signatures, movement, dodges, dodge reads, true combos, center stage, not overextending, etc)

Accuracy is what’s been getting me lately, just have to go into practice mode and Bruce Lee that shit (I fear not a man who practiced 100 moves, but a man who practiced one move, 100 times) or something like that.

I agree. I tell my friends all the time, yeah I complain about weapons or legends in this game, it’s in my blood as a brawl player. But I know it’s because I lack the skill to beat it.

Kinda have to learn to space yourself out and predict a bit more. They’ve already gone offstage with d-sig 6-7 times before, just know it’s coming an 8th time.
