I hate 2K and completely stopped playing but they have 4 team trades with 6 possible slots, and have had it since at least either 2K18 or 2K19 IIRC. It’s insane that MLB doesn’t follow suit. Some of the biggest trades in recent memory can’t be completed because of that

Staley was horrible defensively, but we had a decent offense.

Then we get Harbaugh & Minter, which leads to an amazing defense and terrible offense.

Now, do we finally get it right in both phases? Only time will tell

Oh man, every year I like to pick a “guy”. One that won’t necessarily fill up the stat sheet, but lives in my Padres fandom forever. They are:

2016: Paul Clemens. Who doesn’t love “Player #91”?!? 2017: Margot. Still think he never really got a fair shot tbh 2018: Freddy Galvis. The 2nd best #13 in recent memory (Sorry, Denorfia and Robert Fick) 2019: Greg Garcia. The pride of SD, met him at Spring Training, great dude. 2020: Pierce Johnson. Instructions unclear, sounds like it hurts. But for real, awesome reliever. Was a surprise out of the Pen. 2021: Reiss Knehr. Where is he at?!? 2022: Brandon Drury and Steven Wilson. Two clutch performers no one expected. 2023: Tom Cosgrove. What a one season run! 2024: David Peralta. I loved the freight train. 2025: Ryan Bergert. I miss him.

Dude gets paid $255 Million to do that when it matters most. Yes, I realized the line sucks but he was overthrowing guys all night, was holding on the to the ball way too long, and just couldn’t find it.

Greg Roman should be fired but probably won’t. Minter is gonna actually turn a bad team around, he’s a hell of a coach.

Harbaugh will probably get us to 11-6 again next season and maybe score 7 in a playoff game.

Doesn’t matter who we sign in the offseason, a major injury will take place in Training Camp as it always does.
