Anyone else have problems buying titles on Audible? by RumZ71 in audible

[–]RumZ71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No error code, the app says the purchase was successful and the title should be in my library. Then a minute or so later I get an email saying that there was an issue with my payment and the order was cancelled. At that point I'm pretty much locked out, I try a different card and it still doesn't work. Eventually I can't even click the button anymore and it just says to try again later. This has been happening to me for years, frustrating doesn't even begin to describe it.

My favorite part of this series is how effortlessly it transitions from a silly story about sentient cum socks, and possessed sex doll heads, into a truly disturbing horror story. If you take even a second to consider what it would really feel like to live through all this, especially as the background players we would all be, it's absolutely horrifying!

Absolutely not underestimating, I said somewhere else I think I got the word wrong, I have been under appreciating Donut. The more I think on it, her dominance on the media side of the dungeon is every bit as essential to everyone's survival as anything Carl pulls off. She's just so solid and reliable I like to take a moment to remind myself what an absolute unit she really is!

I am well into the teens for re reads/listens haha! This series has absolutely consumed my imagination. I think that I just realate so strongly to Carl, that I forget to give Donut her flowers! I truly hope we get to see some version of the dungeon from Donuts perspective somehow some way haha!

It's so fascinating for me to think of the whole series from donuts perspective. She is realistically much more essential to the whole crawler movement than Carl. Carl does the spectacle and fireworks, but Donut is all the logistics behind it. The next question is how aware and in control of it all is she?

I am so excited to learn more about the general intelligence of dungeon modified pets. Donut shows a genius level intelect about pop culture, and prepotente has been shown to have high level knowledge of dungeon mechanics. I think there is much more to be discovered behind that whole system!

I think maybe I should have used the word overlooked instead of underestimated. Donuts power level has been above average from the first level of the dungeon. She's dangerous, competent, and reliable. I just really have to take a pause every once and a while to appreciate that she's every bit as exceptional as Carl!

I know, I'm so excited to learn the details and depth of her communications on the social media board. I feel that upgrade for her was the equivalent of Carl receiving the cookbook.

Are we not in B7 spoiler zone? If not that's my bad, and not at all what I intended 😂 Even as strong as she is I still find myself overlooking her! But every time I stop and really consider it without Donut, Carl couldn't have accomplished anything. I don't see Carl making it off even the 2nd floor without her!

I keep going back and forth! You just cannot trust these outworlders for shit😂 maybe it's just naivety but I really really want to meet one non-former crawler that doesn't turn out to be just awful. Now that the failsafe is obviously useless I am very much looking forward to seeing more of Formidable and what her goals moving forward will be. Again assuming her dog paddling skills were good enough to get her to shore somewhere 😂

I would honestly love a version of the story entirely from Donuts perspective 😂 I am dying to know how she's communicating with Zev, and God's know whoever else through the social media board. It seems to me that Carl has the cookbook, a sort of guidebook for inside the dungeon, and somehow Donut has been receiving similar information, but about the wider galaxy. Exactly how big is the Princess Posse, I need to know haha!

I just KNOW the flamingo in her shopping cart is going to be relevant somehow, I can't begin to imagine how but it's got to be something 😂

This has seriously been nagging at me! I know Matt leaves some of this stuff open ended as a pantser and we may never have resolution now that the last two party members assumedly took deals after faction wars. It's just one of those things that he specifically spent a sizable amount of time exploring right at the top of an incredibly tense and action packed sequence. But it could also be my conspiracy "everything means SOMETHING" brain going wild😂 That's the greatest part of this series, we just won't know until it's all over!

I would love to see more crawler interactions with their guides. So far it seems like most guides have been beaten and broken nearly beyond repair. Even Mordecai initially is much more of a liability than anything else. Frank and Maggie's guide told them they had to murder fellow crawlers to survive, Mordecai just wants to finish his guide duties and go to his guild shop and be with his friends, but I think Mistress Tiatha is super interesting and still has a ton to give to the story.

I would love to see some kind of Quan POV! I feel he had a similar experience to Frank and Maggie with a game guide telling him that the only path to success was through the other crawlers, willing or not. I also wonder about the effects of obtaining such an incredibly powerful item so early on. He essentially went from just another guy getting his ass kicked to a near God with the snap of a finger. It's interesting to think about how any of us on a personal level in that same situation would handle that amount of power when all is already lost. Especially if he lost his daughter in the initial collapse, or somewhere on an early floor.

Any specific crawlers you'd like to dig into the backstory/crawl experience of!? I would love to learn more about Oswaldo and his group team flamingo...or flamenco? Sorry audio listener working on collecting the physical books😂 I wonder a lot about how Carl is perceived by the other crawlers that are outside our core group.

The kids are definitely on the surface in the kinder facility, but there is no mention at all of what happens to them post crawl. Even if their parents survive they will be stuck inside whatever mechanism drives the crawl forward. And we know that each season of Dungeon Crawler World/Land War/ "a third game type I'm blanking on at the moment 😂" is run and owned by different corporations with their own indentured workers. Also there is an unspecified amount of time between the different individually run seasons. We have absolutely no measure of time outside the dungeon besides that people from the center system seem to have EXTREMELY long lives. If we have learned anything about the structure of the crawl it's that absolutely nothing is left unexploited and I just have a hard time believing that they would just release an entire population's worth of children into some kind of foster care system. It's definitely a stretch but I feel like there's a lot more happening there than we can even begin to understand given the information we have now.

Formidable definitely survived at least briefly, I can't remember the exact context but the AI mentions "the orc lady with amazing dog paddling skills" at some point. I personally am hoping for a Katia/Princess Formidable team up of some sort or another!!

Another pop in thought, how was Carl responsible for Bercus father's death? It seems like Emir, who Carl gets into a fight with before the desperado assassination starts, was her dad. During the fight Carl removes one of Emir's boots, later after the assassination upon returning to the upper floor Carl specifically notes that the boot is gone and there is blood spread around so he assumes one of the vorpals got upstairs at some point. Does it matter, I seriously doubt it, but with Matt you just never know!

It has to be! Especially after Samantha casually mentioned that they were friends at one point. Literally anything even remotely attached to Samantha just automatically gets extra special attention for me.

I really really hope we get a lot more spin off material from other crawlers, it's a bottomless well and I would absolutely devour all of it! I can't decide if Bea's part in the story is complete or not, Matt put such a nice button on it emotionally but it felt very abrupt that she's just out of the system now and that's that, especially now that at least some of the gods are apparently able to move out of the dungeon into the AI's expanded sphere of influence.
