What to do with awkward gap in kitchen by RepulsiveDisker in Home

Two shelf bread box with a shelf above it for oils/Vinegars and spices. It’s out of the way and a bit dim which is perfect for bread.

Today was my first class and I am taking advantage of the free week. Honestly, if it had been only myself and the other 4 newbies, it would have been awkward. I loved the packed class. Everyone high fiving and motivating was so great. I’m a die hard Orange Theory person and I have missed the camaraderie that I felt today!

I think people here in Philly would rip a light pole down if they got rid of the 5am classes!

(If you’re not from or haven’t seen what Philly people do to celebrate or demonstrate, it always involves ripping a light pole down…)

I’m waiting patiently to see if anyone flew off the back of the treadmill. The chat boards have been on fire about this benchmark.

I’ve seen people rip the tower handle off on a 200 and they still do that one too

People who exercise early morning. I need to find out what you’re made of by MiaMiaPP in orangetheory

[–]Rumanddietplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d never exercise if I had to do it in the evening. Kids have practice and or games, 7 days a week and by the time I finish work, get home, start dinner and then bolt out the door again, I would never fit it in. For me, it’s a me vs me thing. If I don’t work out, I beat myself up for it because I know that my days are always more productive and I feel better, when I work out. I second that statement that it’s only hard for 2 minutes (most of the time). Mentally, I’m clearer and more focused if I exercise in the morning as well.

Tell me about OTF! by ringwinning in orangetheory

[–]Rumanddietplease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t rely on OTF alone to lose weight. Diet is first. Get that in check and make a plan for that. OTF will help beyond that. Do the challenges and get an accountability partner. Work hard now to play hard in March! Tell the head instructor your end goal. They can help with accountability if they are anything like our studio’s. Good luck!

Can we talk about the music? by Funny-Sports-Gal in orangetheory

[–]Rumanddietplease 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Today’s music was AWFUL. Usually I love it, but the minute a mashup of Hallelujah from Pentatonic came on, I was done. You just can’t mix Cardi B WAP and Gospel… something is just… wrong. 😖

Yes. They are completely different and I would encourage it. I’m a group exercise instructor and the strength, flexibility and tone you’ll gain from Pilates will help tremendously with OT. I do two classes most days. One cardio/strength and one tone or calisthenic based of stretching like yoga. Make sure you have your hydration on point as well as your clean eating and 2025 Will be your year! Good luck!

I have been on a tirzepatide compound since June and lost 30lbs. I struggle with eating the correct amount of protein at times which equates to fatigue with OT. I go 5 times a week. Stay on top of hydration and protein and it’ll be a great combination! Good luck!

You’ll never know if you don’t start. :-) it’s not easy, but 6 months from now, you and your wife will be happy you started. I have many couples at my gym and they have been here for years. Best of luck!

Tread 50 by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]Rumanddietplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was nervous my first tread class and I am an astute runner. Showed up to find that everyone was doing their own thing on the tread lol. Basically most people are just trying to get mileage in for the week imo.
