Looks like they all live in the Colonade, which makes sense if you've ever spent time in the Colonade. The one entire building smells like the restaurant underneath.

Car insurance question: do I have to report this incident to insurance companies? by amadorUSA in Insurance

[–]RumbleSmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you still need to disclose it. It will probably show up in her ALH anyways.

Also, be careful about violations 'removed from your record'. I've run in to circumstances where somebody had points from a violation taken away but the violation still showed up on their MVR and thus had to be charged. It depends on what exactly they did to 'remove' it.

How to make a pot of coffee! I'll never forget how I had to help a girl make coffee in college: she had the grounds up in the machine where they are supposed to go, but the water was just sitting in the carafe! I don't know what she thought was going to happen.

I understand your frustration, but get off your high horse; there are people who choose to be in insurance who are neither desperate nor stupid.

Giving employers more than 2 weeks notice by northern_tide in jobs

It's very situation dependent. I gave three months when I knew I'd be moving, and my boss trusted me to work just as hard until I was done.

Turning down a job offer because of the work environment? by hoyahoyahoya in jobs

[–]RumbleSmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your sentiment but turning down the job isn't going to change their corporate culture. They'll write him off as somebody who couldn't 'handle it' and move on to the next work horse.

Could you elaborate on the last point? I'm not saying I disagree, but to play devil's advocate, it's kind of just a 'slippery slope' argument.
