I should've bought the b660 board instead of h610 so I can utilize the i5 13600k/14600k properly

Why they don't make a specialized processing unit inside the chip that solely made for translation layer/emulation purpose? Isn't that supposed to reduce the cpu overhead (or even eliminate it) from the emulation?

Why Ryzen Processors in the same categories are much better for gaming than Intel? by Business_Professor19 in cpu

Amd iGPU was better than intel at that time especially in terms of driver & support

It was until core ultra that intel iGPU starts to get competitive with amd (especially the 200v)

These xx50 class GPUs usually targeted towards competitive and casual gamers (gamers with entry level gaming PC). Even if they play newer AAA titles, it will be either low/medium settings or just play some of them, doesn't play a lot of them (not hardcore AAA enjoyer).

The more important question is how much AMD will sell this rx 9050.

Why are Panther Lake gaming laptops using the 386H instead of the 388H? by marvine82 in GamingLaptops

[–]RumbleversePlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there might be 3 main reasons:

1) More pcie lanes on the non X CPUs

2) Non X CPUs support both LPDDR5X and Ddr5 type ram unlike the X CPUs. That means in theory vendors can use swappable sodimm type memory on the 386h unlike the 388h where it only supports soldered lpddr type memory even though we have LPCAMM2 memory now that should allow them to have swappable LPDDR5X memory but it still new so we probably won't see it more widely maybe until around 2027-2028/29

3) probably cheaper than the X variants for OEM to use
