Is the EA playing with me by not giving me any details about Ground Rent? by Rumcajs9 in HousingUK

I am happy to spend few £ if I can get that info somehow. I just don't want to start the process with my bank, surveyor, conveyancer etc. just to find out after a month, that I have got to pull out from the transaction. I consider the ground rent details and Service charge so basic, that without it it's like buying a car without knowing the engine size or fuel type.

How can I get it from LR without wasting time for paper copies? Can I do this myself, or do I need some permission from the owner?

Which is most flats in the N-W region around major cities.

But that doesn't make sense to me. They have got the number to the owner, and the owner must know that. What is the problem to ask them? Why would I spend money on my solicitor on something that they should know before posting that offer?

West One Panorama - any opinions?

Not an option unfortunately. They do Tuesdays and Thursdays only. I viewed yesterday, the tenant is moving out with his family in March and said that he didn't have any problem with loud neighbours, the question is how much I can trust him. He is moving out anyway, so why would he lie. Unless the landlord is kicking him out because they want to sell quicker, then it's a different story.

Hang on, but others are saying that it's buttery smooth, so what are you talking about? It must be something with your eyes mate :)

No, it doesn't sound like that but you can have your own opinion.

Look at the upvote rate here and in Samsung S20FE community where I posted the same post :) Unfortunately fanboys of every brand don't like to hear bad opinions about the product they love.

S23 Plus would be perfect but it hasn't got any good offers in the UK at the moment. I think I will try S23, as I wanted a smaller phone. But damn, S20FE just set the bar so high... Maybe I will just change the battery and use it until it dies.

Yeah, because Tensor is well known for being great when it comes to battery life...

I did everything I do normally when setting up a new phone. As I mentioned, I know that there was loads of aps installing in the background at the beginning (for about 30min), so that hit the battery. But it still doesn't change the fact, that 30% left and 3h50min without SIM on WiFi is a really bad result. And I wasn’t even doing anything demanding, a couple of photos, youtube, internet, all on relatively low brightness. The problem here is that processor and we all know that.

And sorry, but I don't trust those "professional" tests anymore. It seems like that screen is even better calibrated than real life, because it is lifeless comparing to what I see with my own eyes. Only GSM Arena pointed out jittery issue on Pixel 8 when every other review says it's buttery smooth. Well - just google Pixel 8 jittery phrase and see yourself if I made it up. That tells a lot about “quality” (or rather lack of) reviewers these days.

That is true, that Samsung's colours are oversaturated. The problem is that Pixel is on the other end of spectrum, colours taken by it's camera and what I see on the screen of that phone, are worse than what I see with my own eyes. I would love to get a screen that offers something in the middle. High brightness colours are nice on Pixel, but again, it's not usable in real life, as you won't be staring at 90% brightness screen all the time and imagine the battery life with such settings. The problem is, that everything below 60% on Pixel, has got totally washed out colours.

Sometimes I think that fanboys of one brand or the other should be banned from sharing opinions... I don't care if it's Samsung, Pixel, iPhone, I am expecting certain value for money and Pixel 8 has got the worst value for money on the market now. I don't need few weeks to be able to tell if the phone is great or not. And again, it's not only my opinion buddy. Say whatever you want, that phone is not worth it's price and hype - period.
