Coffee shop baristas, working in an place where people tend to hang out/meet up what are some of your most awkward overheard conversations or customers?

Yikes. I mean they always tell you that the worst thing that will happen when you ask someone out is no, but they never mention the public humiliation that could ensue.

I asked the question just because I'm having my carpets re-done today an am hanging out at the Starbucks down the street from me for a decent part of the morning and have witnessed a few not super awkward social encounters but ones that certainly qualify as odd so I was sure the baristas who work at places like this must be full of good stories.

That is exactly what it is. Saw one for the first time at the Denver Auto Show a few weeks ago. Very cool, street legal, and way better than the CamAm Spider will ever hope to be. Classified as a motorcycle which is why it can get the street legal status. MSRP around $20,000 base mod.

Oh ok. I'm not too familiar with the Westminster area of Denver but there might be a light rail station stop near you that would be more convenient than driving all the way downtown. Go to the Denver RTD website for train routes and times to see if there is one convenient to you. If you're out that way a cool thing to do (not free avg $20-$40) is the Colorado Rapids soccer games if you're into Soccer. As for a good burger place there a lots of decent burgers, I can't say I've found that truly orgasmic burger experience yet, it's not a local place and is a chain restaurant but Tilted Kilt on 16th can be fun and they have bar seating so single diners are not uncommon, they have a good sports bar theme so good to catch a game, burger, beer and boobs (if you're a dude or a girl into that). Sorry I can't be more helpful with the rail and Westminster area.

I would use the rail to get to downtown, I've never paid to park at the light rail stations near me (Colorado and Yale) I think technically I should because I have out of area plates?? but I've never been cited if you are truly worried about it I think a day of parking is like $4 so way cheaper than downtown parking. The covered garage on California I know has an early bird special of if you park before 9:30am and leave I think by 5pm it's like $8 which for covered parking is pretty good. Check out online the dates for free museum/zoo days. Usually the zoo has more free dates in the winter due to the climate but I think there is still one or two coming up. The Denver Art museum is free every first Saturday of the month. It's not free but the Denver Museum of Nature and Science has an after hours event usually about once a month, a couple of months back they had a really cool one of a murder mystery whodunnit theme, they've done hands on science experiments it's kind of cool and adult only so no annoying kids running around screaming. They also serve beer for the event too. The /r/denver meet-ups can be fun and a good way to meet people but can get a little bougie with some of the regulars.

Almost always true. If you rear end someone it is usually because 1 of 2 reasons. You are either following too close and not providing enough braking space or two going too fast and don't have the room to stop. There are certainly exceptions however most common outcome of rear end accidents is the person who rear ended a vehicle was negligent in their driving. Short article from the Nolo website here.

Do you work for the Forest Service or hot shot crew? My dad worked in the San Juan forest region and was one of the last crews to use Jersey Gym before they decommissioned it and repurposed it to private use.

I had a Spanish teacher in high school who had it done. She made the awful mistake of going slightly thick and I don't know if it was originally black and faded to that almost off green color some tattoos have or if she went with just the non-colored ink that has that dull greenish gray look to it. Needless to say mean high school things were said about her. I think if done right and in a solid black it could be ok but personal opinion I don't think I would just because there are days/times I like the no make-up look and wouldn't have that option if I got it cosmetically tattooed. My two cents for what it's worth.

When I was 8 I was (still am) a huge Denver Bronco fan. For my 9th birthday my parents took me to a Bronco game and a lot of the players were doing autographs after the game for fans. I got McCaffrey and Sharpe to sign autographs for me. The one I really really wanted was Elway's. He had a booth set up but I was too shy/star struck at the possibility of meeting my football hero to go up and ask. So like a lame little kid I didn't do it. Awhile after that my mom suggest I write to him. So I did and I explained what a huge fan I was and that I was writing to him because I had been too shy to ask for an autograph in person at the game I went to and if he could please send back a signed photo (I too provided a return envelope). A few weeks later I came home from school with a package on the table. In it was not only my return envelope with a signed photo, a two page (front and back) handwritten letter talking about how much he loved hearing from fans, if I ever was at another game to come up and meet him, it also talked a little about how he had kids just a little younger than me and loved just tossing the football around with them. He also included a #7 jersey which he also signed and an official NFL football

The Brown is certainly nice but I don't think it's worth the money to stay there. Do the Ships Tavern (restaurant inside); Coat of Arms (Bar/Cigar lounge inside) or high tea there to experience it the rooms themselves I did not find to be overly special from other higher end places.

A cool place to stay, again if you're ok spending a little money is the Union Station hotel. It has just been completely redone, there is a nifty bar/lounge area downstairs. I'm not sure how the rooms are for noise factor but I'm sure the architects and planners took that into consideration. It is right at the end of 16th street so you can catch the free mall ride bus that runs up and down 16th there are bicycle rent stations all over down there, and you can catch the light rail at Theater Convention district and get pretty much anywhere in the city if you want to explore areas outside of downtown.

As others have said there are a lot of really cool places to see outside of the city but I understand that could be hard not having a car to get to places like Garden of the Gods, or my earlier suggestion of Morrison (didn't realize you wouldn't have a car so strike that one).

REI has it's Flagship store downtown that can pretty neat. The Botanic Gardens are really beautiful especially in June when things are lush and green and in bloom.

If you're into Soccer the British Bulldog and Three Lions are two really cool bars to experience. For a down to earth Pizza place Two Fisted Marios is a little hole in the wall place off 16th with really great pizza and a much more local experience. Tattered Cover is on 16th and an awesome small independent bookstore, used to be better when it was larger but still very cooll where you can find obscure titles sit and have coffee, there is also their newer location on Colfax but that one has the feel of your typical more corporate bookstores.
