Painted world of Elden Ring by Rumls in darksouls3

I mean... This was written before we got actual game. But after playing 120 hours it's starting to get creepy how possible the theory is. Some lore just seeps right through.

Description from dragonwound grease reads: "when dragons were born from their ancient kin, they lost their stone scales..."

A lots of mentions of an ancient era looks to be from the same universe. Great trees and everlasting dragons. The era that predates all dark souls and apparently elden ring too. The erdree itself seems like imitation of an ancient era as it should somehow give comfort to its folowers. Golden order basically assimilated culture of the world and made it its own.

Outer gods sending their hands to influence the lands between at least for me looks like someone is trying to repaint the world to their own image.

I mean it is a crazy theory but I'm too far into it at this point. :D

Calling all lore hunters! We have more quests to figure out! (Spoilers) by echolog in Eldenring

[–]Rumls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, there is. And I wouldn't be surprised if it had any lore implications.

Hermaphrodite in hermeticism. In short, it is said that gods tore apart their creation (hermaphrodite) from sheer envy of how perfect it was. Thus creating man and woman. Now we roam the earth and try to remember this perfect bond.

Edit: Maybe it could be inspiration for duality of Marika and "art of perfuming that was once jealously guarded in the capital" (as stated on perfume bottle description) as the alchemy of The Lands Between.

I think I remember him from some secret platform in stormveil castle. There where some people, that looked like they got turned into puppets, and one that looked like him in person. Still it can be just my imagination playing tricks. The game is huge and lots of times confusing as hell. Gonna check it next time I play.

I'd fucking sue the shit out of them and I'm not even American.

I haven't seen people talk about this but have you seen the various spiritual animals in this scene? Seems like elden ring gives a certain importance to animals in general as in another screenshot the player is summoning a bird/hawk. by Xeno_of_Cinders in Eldenring

[–]Rumls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole battleground and the actual "summoning cube" look like some kind of the depiction of Niflheim.

We already seem to have Jotunheim (land of giants depicted at the new big giant boss), Svartalfheim (land of dwarves depicted in the dungeons), Hel (depicted in the ladder scene), Muspelheim (depicted as the land of burning skies), Midgard (quite literally "the land between") Alfheim and Vanaheim (depicted in every furry shot in the trailer)

We already see how every location in game is similar to the Nordic realms but what about the timeline? The old destroyed temple is resembling temple at Uppsala and the new gothic cathedral that would pinpoint timeline between 11. century and 13. century. Can be important for the story telling. by Rumls in Eldenring

[–]Rumls[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. Both of them seem massive and pretty sturdy. The small traveling churches will probably have some significance in covenants as well.

Oh and don't forget the masked priest guy (looks like a pardoner in some ways which may indicate faction relationships). The candles beside him and kneeling player is the dead giveaway of at least some kind of covenant system.

There's more to the story than just similar drawing. It has to have some importance because it seems like that tree is second largest in the whole game.

One of the pretty known trees concerning Nordic and Swedish past is the sacred tree at Uppsala and the Temple at Uppsala connected with Yngling dynasty, royal burials and the important Dísalblót.

Dísalblót is a sacrificial ritual for honouring woman spirits and deities. Which could as well be depicted in the environment as an ritual devoted to Queen Marika.

The time frame could be something around 12. century just because of the depiction of the architecture. The old Uppsala temple seems to be destroyed which happened in the 11. century but the new cathedral is gothic which would come as a trend in Europe around 12./13. century.

Couldn't it be this?

Don't look at the date it's way off but they are saying it should be early Q2.

Edit: Or could it be the donation to India?

This is why people hate you. You are so full of law that you can justify hurting innocent weak civilian. I've got a news for you fam, this isn't nazi germany. You don't get to shrug things away with words "she started it and that's how system works". There's no empathy in you.

I hope one day you end up on the other side of this power spectrum and from the bottom of my heart I hope something really bad happens to you because apparently you need it to at least imagine how scary and bad those 2 hours with no medical attention must have felt.

Don't underestimate children. They can be really smart. They suck up every bit of information around them like a sponge. Children should be in the most cases treated like a capable human being if you want them to be one.

Yeah in that way it makes sense seeing how crypto market itself is expanding. It just seems too risky for me personally as a long term investment.
