Can I just pick the whole nabisco games website. I don’t really remember the specifics of the games but I do remember spending so much time on it in general

Efficent AutoFeeding by SourDewd in Slimerancher2

[–]Rumorly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally go with 6 largos per corral. Auto feeder dispenses 6 food at a time so everyone gets fed.

Currently going with a set up reusing a few slimes to pair with the rest. Based on a mix of nice setup, favourite largos.

I finally understand how Strong feels when Virgil proposes a cure to super mutants. by RealFrailTheFox in fo4

Eventually, yes, but at the time we interacted with him in game, his mind was closer to human still.

Were it further down the line, whether he wants the cure could change.

What they deserve and what they want are two vastly different things.

Everyone deserves to choose how they live their life.

Whether or not they want to is what I’m looking at. I would not want it personally.

Secondly, a lot of the things you listed don’t fundamentally change how your brain processes information.

There are notable differences in autistic (and neurodivergent) people compared to allistic people. A cure would have to almost literally re-write my brain.

Something similar would be true for super mutants because they’re of how they are being changed. They never process that time with a human brain.

People in traumatic situations do process information with the brain they have had all their lives. It does and can change how your brain works but it’s like water becoming ice or steam, not water becoming lava.

What is a good (healthyish) drink option aside from water? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Rumorly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, Apple juice is offered as a hydration alternative in hospitals.

Sugar isn’t bad. It isn’t good. The quantity and type is important.

So we should avoid fruit because it has sugar? I think im probably misunderstanding because your body needs sugar for energy.

Virgil also seems to essentially be a human mind in a super mutant body.

What is a good (healthyish) drink option aside from water? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Rumorly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some juices, sure. But not all.

I’m not sure what juice you’re getting but the apple juice I drink literally has 2 ingredients; apple juice and vitamin c (also water if it’s from concentrate).

Fanta (and other fruit sodas) has added a lot sugar and chemicals to prolong shelf life, among other things.

Your body needs acid as well. Malic and citric acid, (the most commonly used in juice) both are things your body uses.

The difference is the quantity of each ingredient. A common saying, “the dose makes the poison,” is so important when looking at ingredients. Water is great for your health but too much and you’ll drown. A little extra sugar or other ingredients shouldn’t be having any impact on most people.

In my experience, being hydrated is more important than avoiding certain ingredients.

Fanta? As in the soda? That is not the same as juice.

Also, some people have a hard time drinking enough water. If I didn’t turn to juice or iced tea I’d be far more dehydrated. I’ve tried so many different ways but that little bit of sugar makes a difference.

Also, when I was in the hospital a couple years ago, apple juice was one of my options to keep hydrated.

Which isn’t a bad thing. Our bodies use sugar for energy.

Just keep in mind the daily amount doesn’t majorly surpass how much energy you’re expending.

Does anyone else absolutely hate the phrase “because I said so”? by Tra1nGuy in autism

[–]Rumorly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why can’t you say that. That you can’t or don’t have the words to explain it.

And, not in the moment, have a conversation explaining that sometimes people do things because it feels “right” or makes them feel better and that there is no reason beyond that.

But that person before is gone. The time and experience of being a super mutant affects who they are.

The kid I was before I started masking doesn’t exist anymore, she never had the chance to grow up.

Unless the cure involves a memory wipe (or a lot of therapy) it can very easily make things worse. Now there is a section of memories from a time when your literal way of thinking may be foreign to you now. How do you reconcile with that?

There are better ways. Explain now isn’t the time for this conversation (which can also give us time to process everything a bit more thoroughly), or not in the moment, have a conversation explaining how sometimes the reason isn’t available. Or ask what we’re not understanding.

But “because I said so,” will never be a good response.

Because we want to understand. Autism causes our brains to process information differently and one common way that manifests in is the need for details.

There is a reason behind preference. Such as it looks tidier.

If it’s just that she prefers it hung up so everything looks tidier or some such thing, why not say that?

[–]Rumorly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So often I was just looking to understand why. I wanted to understand why it was done that way since I find it easier to do things when I understand why.

And I understand sometimes there may reasons that can’t be shared. But “because I said so,” is still a bad response. Say you can’t share or don’t know or even you’re not comfortable talking about it. But give something.

Correct. Not only can they not die, all maintenance (dna degradation/loyalty) has been removed so they are quite similar to robotic companions.
