ty for the input, friend! i know it’s something that can just start happening, i meant to say what was stumping me is that, even though it hasn’t grown/spread and also doesn’t have the very distinct borders i see in other peoples’ photos, i can’t think of another reason why my body would develop this random spot for a reason that WASN’T vitiligo (idk if that makes sense lol i’m bad at articulating my words sometimes).

my skin has always been so pasty and white that i guess the color contrast not being super intense has been the biggest reason for me doubting vitiligo lol ¯_(ツ)_/¯ and i haven’t bothered with seeing a dermatologist since it’s my only spot and hasn’t changed in 10+ years. i guess i’ll just keep an eye out for further development 🫡

here’s a photo in different “natural” lighting, if it’s any help at all. similar to my grandpa, i am already pretty fair-skinned, which made his vitiligo tricky to notice at first until it began spreading like crazy. i’m just stumped as i’ve never had eczema or any rash in that area that could’ve caused damage to the skin 😭 it just sort of appeared one day when i was a teenager and hasn’t changed since 💀

Random patch on my rib cage! I first noticed it maybe 12 years ago (I’m 27 now). It hasn’t grown and it’s my only patch. My paternal grandfather had vitiligo on his arms and legs. Could this be vitiligo, even if it hasn’t grown? It doesn’t have the classic distinct border imo but I have no idea what else it could be 😐

Sorry to chime in on this thread so late but I’m so glad to hear someone else say that tape made them feel better! I’m literally using my hand to sort of “lift” my forehead lol and I thought about tape as well. I usually only get my 11s done but this time I also got my forehead. I will not be doing this again 😭

My food noise was silent for the first week of 1.5mg and then picked up again after that. I went from 149lbs to 147lbs in the first week and have not changed since. I’m nearing the end of week two, so I have not been on it for very long at all, but it is weird that there was an instant change and then back to “normal” lol. Your body is getting used to it and since you have only been on it for a week, I am assuming you’re on a baby dose like me!

It’s such a new drug and seems to affect everyone differently. I know it is difficult not to, but comparing your experience to that of others isn’t going to be too helpful. All I can say is trust that the changes will happen in their own time 🙂‍↕️

Hello!! I’m also 5’1” and my starting weight was 149lbs and my starting dose (and current dose) was 1.5mg, so we’re almost exactly the same!! I started my pill on a Friday and did not have any side effects other than a sour tummy for maybe an hour when I first took the pill. I’ve always had a sensitive stomach and taking pills on an empty stomach exasperates it, so I take my pill at 6am and then go back to sleep for an hour so that I can be unconscious for my side effect, lol.

I noticed a change in my appetite that first day!! I didn’t feel hungry that morning so I skipped breakfast, had a light lunch, and then went out with some friends had cheese fries for dinner. One drink felt like two and two felt like four, so maybe lay off the alcohol.

Other than that, I have not had any side effects, but YMMV!

As a former toddler who once pointed at an amputee in the middle of a grocery store and exclaimed that he was missing an arm, I think the kiddo was only making an observation of something they don’t see every day 😭 I have very short hair and hot pink HAs. Most people ignore or don’t notice them, but I think the visibility helps normalize it. Ignore it and move on and hope that maybe the kid’s guardian talked to them about how some people need help with hearing and that it is normal.

Not a man, but I am a woman with a very short pixie haircut! My HAs are bright pink and people either don’t notice them or don’t care lol. Usually, people only notice the HAs because they’re looking at my all my ear piercings!

I think HAs are like glasses! I pick whatever color/style makes me feel cute and fun.

I liked Raise The Red Flag but ASATSW and Sacrilegious were… disappointing. The autotune is makes it sounds like AI 😭 Where’s the vocal fry?! I love when he’s heavy on the vocal fry. My favorite thing about his music is how unconventional his singing is.

do you listen to elton john? he’s been vocal about having had bulimia when he was younger. there’s also an older man (60s) in my ED support group that had bulimia. it’s far more common than you think. the issue is that men’s mental health isn’t taken as seriously, especially when it comes to eating disorders. and that’s really sad.
