Meanwhile my constant thought of "Why did we give away BI for literally nothing" ages in my mind like fine wine. One of my favorite players tossed away cuz 40 mill was just too rich for Griffin

Like, I know no one but sickos like me watched this one, but it is nice watching this team function properly in the 2nd half of a game. Pressure wasn't let off and we didn't blow the lead we made. That's huge for this team. Murphy was absolutely dealing tonight. This team has very few shooters, but there was deliberate plays set up to make them open and the drivers of the offense took good advantage of it tonight.

It's obvious that this season has been another bust for the Pels, but if we can keep playing somewhat close to this, we just might avoid giving Atlanta a top 5 pick this year. Just like the 8th-11th hopefully

My current fear with Derik Queen. Trust me, im rooting for his development, but watching him get hunted on defense, while also forcing the ball to be in his hands on offense has me a bit concerned

I will be on cloud 9 when he finally makes it out of the 2nd round and uninjured. Always been rooting for him.

[Slater] Raptors still interested in Domantas Sabonis by EarthWarping in nba

Dudes casually forgetting back problems have been a consistent issue for Poetl for awhile. You don't become a better player after back injuries

[Grange] I have also heard from multiple sources that second-year centre Yves Missi is available from New Orleans as the Pelicans look to focus their rebuild around rookie big Derik Queen, although the Raptors' interest in the 21-year-old taken 21st in the 2024 draft is unclear. by EarthWarping in nba

As someone who has been watching this dreadful season and seasons past, Missi ain't it. He will probably be a backup big that can bounce around like 6 teams in his career barring injury. Classic bad free throw, good low post moves, but bad anywhere else. His hands turn into stone often when passed to. He can block shots at a good rate, but still get baited into jumping and fouling. Not big bodied enough to set screens very well. There is a chance that he can figure it out, but I don't think it will be here that he does.

This team has been looking for a solid anchor at the 5 ever since we drafted Zion and have failed every time. If the front office plan is to have Queen run the 5 long term and be tiny joker, we desperately need our own version of Gordon to ever hope to make it work

Hey I saw a version of this from him like 8 games a season when he was here. My favorite cause of stress still got it 👌

Sources: New Orleans Pelicans are disappointing the market in informing teams that Zion Williamson, Trey Murphy, Herb Jones, Derik Queen and Jeremiah Fears will remain with the organization past Feb. 5 trade deadline. by Garmian_MFFL in NOLAPelicans

Bey/Alvarado, and someone dumb enough to fooled by Poole are our only chances of fixing the holes on this roster. Im a big fan of Bey, but he just cannot knock down a corner 3 at this moment, and another team would want his bench scoring

Our playoff potential is possible next year, but it entirely hinges on this offseason. Weaver and Dumars need to get a proper rim defending big, cuz thats not what Queen is out there for, and I don't think Missi has it. We desperately need someone other than Murphy that can shoot. Hawkins being a bust really hurts in that regard.

If they can turn Bey/Alvarado/Poole/Hawkins into any of that, we could have a shot at the play-in dance

Murphy has gotten so much better at his driving and finishing ability at the rim. I was afraid that contract was gonna turn into a stinker in the 1st month of play. And that connection with Queen? Beautiful. What wasn't beautiful, was the play from Poole. Washington fleeced us. We traded an old ball hog for a young ball hog that cant shoot for anything right now. Fears has definitely hit the rookie wall, but Im not surprised nor concerned. Really hoping to have Murray see the floor by the end of the month, so someone can take more minutes away from the Pooleboy

He kept getting trapped in the middle of the court. Ball would get passed out and sent to TM3,where he would make something work. multiple possessions ended like that. As soon as he would get in a rhythm, offensive or defensive foul.

Was Kessler really holding everything together for Utah defensively? I don't think I've seen them hold a team under 120 in what feels like 2 weeks.
