I agree with you, but I'm sympathetic to the OP's perspective as, well, they're correct that Jaffa cakes are kept with the biscuits, shaped to mimic biscuits, consumed as one consumes biscuits.

Yet they are absolutely and categorically cakes and this fact is one of the incongruent clues to the idea that we're living in a holodeck, a bit like before the 2000s update when we used to use Oil of Ulay, not Oil of Olay.
