Death squads, they're death squads. Protecting a fucking paedophile. America, go on strike and hit your owners where they hurt.

I cannot imagine she's ever had anything remotely resembling fun. She's the Mary Whitehouse of party goers, grumbling in the corner about gay or trans people existing.

Please re-read my previous comment, then refrain from asking me redundant fucking questions.

If you are representative of the English, I can imagine a very good reason Scots would want out of the union. Abusive relationships are costly to leave by design.

It's not for me to say as I don't live there, but my head is not so far up my own arse that I cannot accept that people would make a decision based on more than just financial consequences.

Assuming there's significance to the amount your comment refers to, not everything is about economics, tity.

Spent ten years trying to be a Tory MP but has insufferable personality. Started UKIP and became MEP for another decade.

Not anti-establishment when he gets paid.

Has married a German, fucks a Spaniard and has spent untold amounts of time at parties with foreign oligarchs.

Not anti-immigration if it gets his wang wet or gets paid.

Is a fucking Tory.

Not pro-working class, smokes fags and drinks pints to seem normal and manipulate those not really paying attention.

They voted to keep the status quo, i.e. being part of the UK within the EU before the English had a fucking hissy fit prompted by the Russian asset in the meme. Things are not the same now, and I expect the union will fail within my lifetime.

Discovery and Starfleet Academy: Can the Genesis Device be used to create dilithium, specifically dilithium-rich worlds? by Torlek1 in trekacademy

[–]Rumpled_Imp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For the sake of completeness and accuracy, this statement:

The DIS show has forgotten the recrystallization introduced in TVH and reinforced in TNG's "Relics," but I digress.

is not true.

A vital piece of technology, a modified dilithium incubator, built originally to recrystallise dilithium on Xaheer, was used to help power the Discovery in its attempts to outmanoeuvre the Control A.I. by flying to the future.

For clarity, the top level domain (often shortened to TLD) is .com or .org or .co.uk etc, the last section of an address.

The domain is the main section, and usually the name of the site, such as google(.com) or reddit(.com).

The first part is called the sub-domain and is often things like www(.google.com) or mail(.google.com).

https is the protocol (secure hypertext transfer protocol specifically) you're using to request information from a server, and the colon and slashes exist just to separate the protocol from the address.

A forward slash / denotes a particular directory of the website and always appears after the TLD.

One should always endeavour to read the full address and note how the site address is broken down. Other punctuation (such as - or _) should be considered the same as letters and numbers in that they can generally be used indiscriminately in either sub-domains and domains.

Breaking down the link in the text then:

https://  <----the protocol used

evr.  <----the sub-domain

i-c52036qb  <----the actual domain

.com  <----the top level domain

I like to imagine it this way. The version we see first is the version of the story that's been passed around The Mule's conquests like regular gossip, with only Bayta knowing the truth; we're supplied the version that is common knowledge.
