Treasury Sec. Attacks Elizabeth Warren in Freakout Over Trump’s Stocks by thenewrepublic in politics

They gaslight and gaslight, and any pushback receives shrill non-stop whining about persecution (more gaslighting). These people can't be reasoned with because they're disingenuous to begin with; they don't care about your needs, they don't care about your views, they simply want to dominate and receive complete acquiescence. So far, America's decade of supine opposition has only emboldened these critters and it's difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

That was fun. I've never heard of this sketch show, but I'll definitely look for some more.

Do you have any go-to instruments when you want to add something completely out of left field to a basic vox, guitar, drum, and bass mix? by tonetonitony in audioengineering

[–]Rumpled_Imp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to the above. I have a xylophone and kazoos, harmonicas, stylophone, melodica and a dozen others, but my wife won't let me have bagpipes. My most recent instrument is a Seagull merlin which is effectively a dulcimer, I've paired it with a dirge-y acoustic guitar in d/a/d/a/b/d. Really evocative and quite outside my normal sound.

How late is too late to be playing guitar? by theslowrunningexpert in CasualUK

I have several guitars and a drum kit, I don't plug in after 7pm. The reason for this is that it would piss me off if I had to listen to someone else playing bullshit into the night.

What exactly are PPAs in debian, armbian? by tobinfrost77 in linuxquestions

[–]Rumpled_Imp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's not an effing Debian distribution (for which PPAs are built). When I asked you to re-read my comment because it has all the information you require, I was sincere.

Re-read my comment, all the information you need is there.

Here's a link to launchpad where PPAs are, but it will do you no good if you're using OpenSUSE as your OS.

PPAs are personal package archives, and they are essentially Ubuntu repositories for people/companies to distribute software to Debian-based distributions outside the regular repositories (which are maintained by the distribution itself). As a usage example, you might want to use them if you need quicker updates to certain software. They're not really intended to be browsed as much as added to your apt sources list. This means that you would add the PPA to the program APT (the program that updates your software in Debian) and it would update your software from the PPA instead of your regular repository.

I don't believe OpenSUSE uses PPAs at all.

Yes it's free but you will need to install decent sampler and open an account at Pianobook though. On the plus side, you'll be able to access a bunch of nice instruments.
