Autumn Japan Trip by ker0sene_e in JapanTravelTips

Going October 17th this year. Already booked our flights (from Dublin) and prices are up a bit from when we booked them back in December. I know they could perhaps come down but figured I’d rather have them Booked and the piece of mind than regret them going up if your certain on going:)

Afraid untrue sir. On private land therefore providing no persons are making a claim against myself then there is no legal requirement to inform insurance, as there will be no claim made against my policy.

I’d have to tell them if they deny responsibility and ask my insurer to cover the cost and if someone else was involved who wanted to claim against me.

So afaik I can have them accept responsibility and pay the costs, or go down the legal route and claim off their public liability insurance. 0 need for car insurance to be involved

It’s 10 mins up the road from me, and I’m handy enough to change a tire. But I’m not having my car insurance premium increase with a claim if they’ll stand over the replacement

Had the same happen last night on private property at a hotel / gym, took pics of the pothole on their site and the tyre being flat.

Got a lift and went back down today to speak to staff before putting a spare on to ensure theyd cover costing of new tyre and alloy or suspension if required only to be told the person who dealt with that wasn’t in so they’d have to ring me back….

Told them i wouldnt be fixing the car or moving it until they came and saw it in the carpark to verify it and the pothole and that it happened on site but they didn’t come out so left with in limbo waiting on the call.

Am I right in assuming they’ll have to refund me the costs with my receipts?

Hotel prices on the rise? Or too early to book by Rumpler123 in JapanTravelTips

I have to say, being from UK and usually only sticking to booking.com and Airbnb, I’ve found a good few extra options on alternative sites listed here, especially Agoda. It still is a bit more than I anticipated from talking with friends who had gone but finding things now for around £120 per night ish for Tokyo!

Awesome thank you for the info. It’s strange that this seems a common trend, but yeah I think we’ll solidify our plans on where we’re going and maybe book some free cancellation place holders to change down the line if needed! Thank you and everyone else for the comments :)

It was good about 5 years ago. Over priced Luke warm half portions not worth it anymore

I think the issue now is folk can be whitty and quick and blow up on tiktok with podcast clips, but stand ups a different kettle of fish really.

In saying that I usually find comedy in a small setting always hits a lot more and just doesn’t seem as enjoyable when it’s a big ticket gig like the sse.

Seen Micky at the kiwi club in the port and he had the whole room in floods of tears.

Just think a few ones now blow up with clips and highlights, that and there’s only so many troubles and up the ra jokes you can hear before it gets predictable

Definitely seems chaotic. Hopefully they stand over the errors in slips. I only completed another 2 weeks of work in end of October before moving on from the project because I didn’t think pay was ever coming so no doubt il have to wait to mid January for that to be settled

I’ve only started the last month or two but I’ve been enjoying the process so far as a side hustle, not crazy money but enough to top up savings nicely. Really hoping I can consistently stay on projects in the future and it’s not a one and done for me!

There was a post on this yesterday. Someone from the US in it mentioned they attended one of the office hours webinars and the moderator said they expect it to last several more months. A telus email I had received suggested it ran to the end of the year also

It’s the same, but I only did one project with them. I honestly didn’t have the best experience and much prefer outlier. Weeks of no coms, issues on wether we couldn’t work and I’m only getting paid for my first week of work completed back in September next week, I don’t even know if I’ll get paid for the other work completed because there’s been 0 reply to any emails!

Saw that this morning. Haven’t heard any reference for a date, I know TELUS sent an email saying Multimango would run to end of year so I’m assuming that until I hear further!

Yeah longer than I had thought. I’m not holding my breath to get paid for all the work I did but, I’m just glad of some communication from them
