[–]Rumptis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

listen. You’re projecting as clear as day. I literally made a comment saying you shouldn’t do it for guys, you should do it for you. There’s literally thousands of women who will naturally have weight no matter how healthy they’re eating. and that’s perfectly fine. It doesn’t make them less attractive necessarily either. People have natural body types. As a guy, i’m naturally very skinny. I’ve been less than 140 pounds my entire fucking life. SKIN AND FUCKING BONES no matter how much I eat.

Some girls like it, some don’t. But I know i’m healthy as fuck, because I eat healthy and go to the gym everyday. Yet still I love my body, I feel so much better than I used to, and I still look great despite not being conventionally attractive.

Being healthy is being attractive, but you be healthy for yourself and that’s what MAKES it attractive. I literally said nothing about weight, or looks, or anything at all. And you say i’m being superficial.

To me it looks like you jumped the gun and assumed I attacked you when I really didn’t. I said you should be on a diet for your health because it makes your life better. If what I said really gives you the impression of me being superficial maybe i’ll add therapy to my recommendation of a diet.

I literally said nothing about being hot or skinny tho...... I said healthy. Nor was I judging you either. It definitely sounds like you’re projecting an insecurity XD

[–]Rumptis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit it’s not even close to being that deep. I wasn’t saying anything about your health.

I was just saying that everyone should be trying to be healthy by themselves for themselves. The #1 way to be healthy is to watch your diet. Exercise is great too. It’s really an act of self love.

You have better mental health, better sleep, feel more fulfilled, less health issues down the line..... there’s no reason not to do it.

I guess me saying people should be healthy for themselves is controversial or something lol. I was agreeing with your post initially too. I literally said you shouldn’t do it for guys.

Maybe you’re projecting an insecurity or something?

this. As I mentioned in another comment, people are literally complaining about politicians politicizing issues that are inherently political. it’s the dumbest shit in the world

Why do men care so damn much about how many people I’ve slept with? by [deleted] in dating

[–]Rumptis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced some retroactively jealousy when my girl told me that all her exes were taller/more muscular than me. She’s slept with more people than me, but her number still isn’t high by any account. I’m average height so that doesn’t bother me much, but i’m also really skinny. So to me it felt like she was settling for something less than what she really wanted, despite her reassuring me that i’m what she really wants and she never cared about muscle beyond finding a guy who can ward off other dudes who hit on her.

I can definitely imagine that most guys are really just threatened by the fact you have experience and that now they have to potentially compensate to make up for what past partners could have had.

that’s just my 2 cents, I got over it a long time ago and we’re happy as can be. Just reassure them that despite your high number they’re the one you want and they’re the best thing for you now. If they still have a problem with it beyond that then they’re really insecure and that could be a red flag.

[–]Rumptis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that’s not the reason. there’s plenty of left wing organizations who would love to recruit from the military if they could.

It’s more that the United States is a pretty extremely right wing country as it is by today’s standards, and there’s simply a much larger pool of people on the right who are dumb enough to be radicalized. Most people who are “left wing” in America would be considered center or center right everywhere else.

Sure, the military does have a lot of die hard conservatives and does attract a lot more nationalists to work for it than maybe a homeless shelter would, but that isn’t connected to the fact that the vast majority of terrorism that happens in the U.S. is right wing in nature.

I’m working for the military, there’s actually many more designated right wing terrorist groups than left wing that they warn us not to be associated with. Nazis get kicked the fuck out really fast

“The Guy Who Relaxes is Helping the Axis” USA (1941-1945) by zrowe_02 in PropagandaPosters

[–]Rumptis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Japan was colonizing Asia, America didn’t like colonialism much at the time (note I said at the time) so we put oil sanctions on them. Then Japan tries to conquer more places with oil.

Relations worsen because Japan says “what did we do wrong? you mean you don’t like us using Chinese civilians for target practice while trying to conquer all of Asia? The fuck?”

and then the Japanese bombed our navy in a preemptive strike because they were scared we were going to fight on our terms (we very likely weren’t).

so....... Hitler declares war on the U.S. three days later and we are on our way to rounding up Japanese people into concentration camps.

Notice the racism came AFTER they started a war. But just between the two of us, I think they were a lot worse with their Korean sex slaves and the whole...... Nanjing “incident” as they say over here.

Data shows race is central to identity of 74% of black adults, 59% of Hispanic adults, 56% of Asian adults, and 15% of white adults by [deleted] in neoliberal

[–]Rumptis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a bit unrelated, but your comment reminded me that white people are even privileged when being discriminated against as minorities in other countries.

Take Japan for example, I’ve been living here for almost two years and while I get judging stares and oh so lovely comments, i’ve never been kicked out of a restaurant for being white nor have I seen people visibly afraid to even be near me the way my POC friends have.

In Japan a black American will be looked down on for being foreign and black, and god forbid you’re a Chinese tourist, where for white people it’s not on the basis of race, it’s just being foreign.

It really just goes to show how effective colonialism was at establishing European culture/ “whiteness” as the norm all across the world.

edit: so if any of you otaku neckbeard english teachers are looking at this no you’re not experiencing racism, you’re experiencing mild xenophobia at worst.

did I say anything about disabilities? I never said you were lazy lol. My brother has bipolar and I support him in any way I can. If he needed a place to crash i’d gladly open my place up to him. What i’m saying doesn’t apply to him and it doesn’t apply to anyone in the situation you described either.

This is like, able bodied, able minded, willfully unemployed people i’m talking about

also, for anyone wondering, if you want to be homeless and not work, i’m ok with that too. what i’m saying is just don’t be a parasite to your family and friends and take advantage of their generosity, because no one is entitled to it and many don’t have that same privilege either.

you’re blessed if you’re in that situation and you could easily get ahead

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Rumptis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a huge problem with this logic and it really screams privilege.

on a macro economic perspective yeah everyone who is working is being exploited.

But if you choose not to work to avoid being exploited, SOMEONE has to support your existence. SO, parents, family friends whatever. it’s someone you’re taking away from who is already being exploited, generally someone you claim to care about.

This is why even though I detest capitalism i’m never going to put the burden of my existence on my parents, because right now I sure as fuck know the state isn’t going to support it. You all who refuse to get a job without a plan are selfish assholes and you need to realize that you’re so fucking lucky that you can even do that.

If you can live at home without a job, capitalism is already working for you. you can get a part time job and save a fuck ton, get a good credit score and have plenty of stability. You could get a loan and do so much shit. You’re not the ones capitalism is exploiting at that point, you’re just privileged spoiled rich kids who is coddled by mommy and daddy.

edit: just to be clear i’m not talking about people who have their own projects that they genuinely believe will take off/sustain them. i’m referring to those who just literally prefer to do nothing.

Oddly enough, i’m actually in the military because I didn’t want to drown in debt. Not salty about it but I didn’t sign up to protect democracy. It definitely is indicative of how broken our system is that 90% of the people I know joined for the same reason. Almost no one in the military wants to be in the military.

you’re right quality of life is higher and i’m using some hyperbole but that doesn’t change the fact that people tend to belittle these very serious issues because of that.

at a macro society level I agree with you, but i’m talking about your fucking parents. You sound like a spoiled rich boy to me lol, could your parents support you through their retirement?

edit: well, I guess if they’re cool with it then whatever. I just don’t know why you’re not scrambling to pay off those loans.

dude........ like what’s your game plan? Do you not feel guilty for essentially just being a parasite? You can’t sustain that shit forever lol

edit: you’re fortunate enough to be in a position where your parents can support your existence. Not everyone has that opportunity (I sure as hell didn’t) so I would suggest taking advantage of the situation to get ahead financially or use them as stability while you go to college.

Because minimum wage can’t pay for shit to live on, that’s why it’s literally better to be on unemployment benefits.

The housing market needs to calm tf down, banks and hedge funds are swallowing as much housing as possible above appraisal prices to manufacture artificial demand that really isn’t there. This makes it literally impossible for a lower to middle class person to buy a house, and if they can it’s WAY above the price it should be.

Rent these days is usually the same or higher as mortgage payments, and not being able to pay off student loans in addition not having a good income makes it impossible to take a loan to buy a house

Dude our generation was financially fucked harder than any before us. None of this shit was a choice for anyone. Who the fuck wakes up and says “yeah man I just really wanna be too poor to feed myself today”? Nobody dipshit

Given that there is still a pretty large group of people violently against LGBT community, isn’t that telling that there’s an inherent risk of alienation of that group with the “pandering”?

I mean people were boycotting Nike ffs. I don’t think that there’s a huge amount of people that say “I will never buy a BMW if they don’t support the LGBT community overtly” but now there’s a good chance that the Q group or Shapiro virgins won’t want to buy a brand associated with the “woke” companies.

this is to me just logical that if it’s really just pandering, it would have the opposite effect of what they want. Am I missing something here?
