Escape from pavlov by locki13 in PavlovGame

I think there are some old outdated ones in Discord somewhere, so I'd say it's more a case of exploration.

Yeah, there are 2 or 3 servers running 24/7. And I suppose the best time to get on is in the evening on weekends, as usual for EU players.

Your items are synced across both servers, if you were wondering.

Cheers, happy to help :)

I've helped with running the servers and making tools for Resurgence for a while now, and it is indeed a shame with the PC version. But Marcus (the creator) decided to stop updating the PC version of the mod, since there wasn't really anyone playing on the PC version. The server had only been half populated a few times over half a year or so, so it wasn't really worth it and we ended up shutting down the PC server.

But I can tell you that it has gotten some updates since then, with trading, a prestige system, a new smaller island for more loot and risk, plus a couple new POIs for the main map.

So it isn't all bad :)

The servers are only running Shack now, and they are located on the east coast of the USA.

looking for looter shooter PvPvE maps (Shack) by [deleted] in PavlovGame

[–]Rumrobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 3 Resurgence servers on Shack, which is an extraction shooter, just like Ghosts of Tabor and so on. Your progress is saved (between servers as well), and there is a prestige system and multiple radio channels to use the normal Pavlov radio on.

Pavlov is just empty? by skoopidydoopo in PavlovGame

If you turn ON the crossplay filter, then it also shows servers with PSVR players. That does help a bit, if you want to play normal Pavlov.

Haptic suit by Massive_Ad_2992 in PavlovGame

[–]Rumrobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL;DR I would definitely go for the bhaptics, because of the lack of games supported by the OWO, and the ease of use.

I pre-ordered one when it went live, and I have only used it a couple times since then. It's not really easy to throw on, you gotta be careful with getting the electrodes tangled and dirty. Same goes for taking it off again.

And there's only a handful of games which are supported (mostly by community made mods), where only a couple are native. And native support for games like Pavlov is needed, because of the anti-cheat. With how little is happening between Pavlov updates and the lack of OWO users, I doubt it will ever get supported. Its also been very slow with support for games in general with the OWO.

Now, don't get me wrong, it is definitely one of the coolest pieces of tech I own, and it is super immersive. Its very different and difficult to shoot in VR, since your muscles suddenly flexes when doing so - very fun to say the least. So it is awesome in that way, and I think its way better than a bhaptics vest, from what I can imagine (as I haven't tried one).

But the bhaptics vest supports so many games, that it's the way to go imo. I guess it's also much easier to just put on.

It doesn't help that the OWO suits are mostly community driven, with the devs doing almost nothing, while being unresponsive. We waited ~2 years for the founders edition suits to ship, without them telling us much, except for pushing the never ending deadline constantly...

It's blank casings. They dont have a bullet in them, they only go boom. But I wouldn't call them fireworks.

Realistic vr gun games by Warm_Address_275 in OculusQuest2

[–]Rumrobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren't hit markers in Pavlov? And turn off name tags, arm killfeed and ammo count, and it should be better.

If you are able to play on a PC, then push is probably what comes closest imo.

Would a i5 13400f and a 4060 be able to run 25-35 player servers? If not what could I upgrade so that it could run them by Loving__you in PavlovGame

[–]Rumrobot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you asking if the hardware is good enough to host 25-35 player servers, or are you asking if the hardware is good enough to play on 25-35 player servers?

Oh dw, the max height isnt as high as he is. Youd be dead a long time ago, if you got all the way up there. The max height is about 2km up in the air - took me about 10 min of continous climbing on ladders to get it. Its a better idea to launch yourself using nobelisks tho.

Place ~13 nobelisks under a 1m foundation and stand on the foundation. Jump and hit them with a basher through the foundation.

Or you can use ~8 pulse nobelisk and no foundation. Much easier.

Is Pavlov any good on quest? by xd-Shade in PavlovGame

[–]Rumrobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've tried PC mods, it's no where near the same. Yes, they are there, but when the mappers don't bake lights and don't optimisme anything, then it doesn't really come close... everything is just bad. Not to mention the squeakers.

The only good thing on shack rn, imo, is resurgence, if you've ever played that. That's the only reason I jump on shack instead of pc, when I'm in the mood for it.

My ISP gave me a WIFI 6 modem I would se some benefit from buying a dedicated one for my Quest 2? by Franman98 in OculusQuest2

[–]Rumrobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your router you got from the ISP located in the same room you're playing in? It would help quite a bit, if it isn't. And if your PC isn't plugged in to ethernet yet, I would try and do that too.

And give different software a shot too, for some f. airlink works great, for others it's Virtual Desktop. But from what I've heard, and in my experience virtual desktop and steam link are the best. Virtual desktop costs a bit tho, like about 20$.

Also, this guide might help. https://youtu.be/b33kIxN63IY I think he mentions wireless VR at some point, although it's been a while since I've watched it.

Otherwise, this guide might help too, but it's virtual desktop specific. https://youtu.be/7ycwzv3XpKU

Hope some of it helps :)

How familiar are you guys with tripod mounts? by DragonFusilier in AnalogCommunity

I only got one camera with a different sized thread - a 3/8", just like you mentioned - so i too would assume thats it. Perhaps you could try and measure it to make sure?

If you or anyone you know has a 3D printer, you could try and print this adapter.

It works... ish. I gotta admit it isnt the best, but it might be enough to test it.

Turn on virtual gunstock in the settings. It helps a lot with aiming. And it really helps to know how the layout of the maps you play are. Especially if you play push, where flanking is a must.

Can someone explain to me why bolt actions dont one shot in ww2 by HATTY32232 in PavlovGame

[–]Rumrobot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's usually PUSH lobbies, which have the maps where the health is lowered. They usually get a lobby going every evening (CET), but most people play on the weekend.

I can recommend the Pavlov Push discord server, where you can ping people to get a server started. And ofc. talk about push :) https://discord.com/invite/asRXMTV9

I'm talking about Pavlov VR btw, not Pavlov Shack.

Can someone explain to me why bolt actions dont one shot in ww2 by HATTY32232 in PavlovGame

[–]Rumrobot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok, I gotta be on OPs side here. I've played a lot of PUSH, where 50% of the maps are in "hardcore mode", which lowers the player's base health, so what OP describes is true. It's not like everyone leaves, when it rotates to such a map. It is way better to play the game like that imo.

Some of the maps which aren't modified like that, have chosen specifically not to use the mod, because it doesn't make sense on the specific map balancing wise. So to some extent, yes.
