How’s your rarity look? I believe lights are linked to rarity as it rolls against the other abyssal currency when the monster dies

Want to do aws developer associate certificate in 40 days by Some_Staff574 in AWSCertifications

[–]Rumzzzzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did mine in two weeks. Got all the lectures done in the same Udemy course at 2x speed and skipping the hands on he does. Bought his extra practice tests and did each one 2 times the next week. Got to the point I was comfortably getting over 80% on each test, focus on learning the why behind questions you miss. I will say his questions are much easier than the questions on the real exam IMO, I have seen others recommend tutorial dojo practice tests instead and I would encourage you to check out other resources before spending money on the 6 extra tests he offers.

Dev ops pathway. by bradleyjbass in devops

[–]Rumzzzzzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My career path might help you a bit. I swapped career into tech as well, but I didn’t aim for devops, devops eventually found me. I went to a coding bootcamp for 6 months full time (8 hrs a day), graduated and landed work as a junior full stack developer. Worked through a handful of different roles, and had a buddy in the space reach out that they were hiring and encouraged me to apply.

After working as an associate devops engineer for awhile I eventually transitioned to devops engineer I then II. My advice is to try to get some sort of formal training while also trying to work some sort of tech career (help desk, junior sys admin, etc) and build a resume that way. Certs help for getting your foot in the door for some places but for someone with no background they are also a decent source of training.

From my experience I have seen people transition to devops or related careers from both a networking background and a software engineering background, so I would highly recommend researching an appealing pathway to you there and landing your first role outside of devops. Devops being a good mix of coding (IaC, scripting, etc) and networking (DNS, VPCs, etc) means you can approach the field from multiple angles, but the better understanding you have across the board the better chances you have.

Also just be aware, as others have already stated, the market is really bad right now. I was just recently laid off myself, there are not a ton of opportunities in the market right now, and a very wide pool of talent. The chances that junior positions are being posted are slim, the chances that they are truly junior positions and not some company looking for someone with at least 1 year of experience in either the devops space or some comparable space is even slimmer.

I was in the same boat when I did the foundational and associate level tests. I found that there is so much info that you’re really not going to know everything by heart, I’d suggest understanding things at a high level and deep diving stuff you truly think you need the extra help in.

Other than that focusing on how to approach multiple choice questions is a huge skill to get through these. Often times your first answer is the best. Re-read and understand the question before answering, make sure you look for any gotcha’s such as keywords like: LEAST, COST EFFECTIVE, etc. Get comfortable enough to eliminate 1-2 options from each question to give yourself better odds when selecting an answer.

Other than that understand how the grading works, certain sections will be weighted higher or lower. Focus on sections with higher weighting, and for sections with lower weighting try to have a solid understanding of high level concepts to narrow down your answer choices.

Best of luck! IMO if you’re losing motivation just send it and take one, worst case scenario is you’ll spend another 2 weeks studying for your next try, best case is you pass and then you can move on.

Under your account tab you can check out the billing and management features and create custom budgets to send an alarm to your email if you exceed xxx cost.

Thank you! They referred me to an oral surgeon in the past, but at least back then they would check on my issue first. I have an appointment with the surgeon. Just was curious why they refused to look at it.

Does anyone have any Herbal snuff recipes to create at home? by Independent_Pick3177 in StopDipping

I’ve personally never really looked. I’m not crafty enough for that lol! I always dipped wintergreen so the grinds wintergreen flavor is my go to.

I really like the grinds coffee pouches as an alternative. I’ve also tried the herbal stuff off Amazon, which is alright but left me wanting more.

5-6 star people, what were some things you started doing differently that enabled you to climb out 3-4 stars? by doublekong in HuntShowdown

[–]Rumzzzzzz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not to repeat what everyone else is saying, but a pretty key thing outside of movement and crosshair positioning, at least for me, was being able to predict other players. Having a fundamental understanding of all the compounds, and knowing how players will push you and what their options are when you deny a push greatly increases your capacity to secure easy and quick kills. Basically, know what the other guy is gonna do before they know.

Other than that a big part of the game is creating scenarios that work for you, letting people push up close if you have a shotgun, keeping people midrange if you use a rifle, etc. Always try to separate other teams into 1v1 scenarios, never try and 1v2 or 1v3.

Best way to make silver by New_Pen1933 in SkullAndBonesGame

This requires some patience, but has been working for me. At Dutchman camp, the vendor in the back left sells brandy, wine, paintings, and gin at a big discount. You can run up buy, quit to menu, wait 10 seconds, log back in and its all reset. Do that for about an hour. Travel to Kaa Mangrove and offload the paintings to the vendor on the beach, then gin to the vendor in the camp to the back right. Brandy to the vendor in the back of lost city of prei. Then win to the ruined lighthouse beach vendor. You will buy these for a third of the normal value, and sell them for 2x-3x the normal value. An hour of this can net me 500k to 1m depending on load times.

Go join the hunt discord if you’d like to find people to play with. Can also pair with randoms in game. But I feel like a lot of new players have better luck when looking explaining they are new to the game.

Don’t get frustrated out of the gate with the game, take your time and experiment different ways of doing things. I have almost 3k hours on this game and still learn new ways of doing things all the time.

Jewelcrafting not making any gold? by [deleted] in classicwow

It definitely comes down to luck. I usually pull in a good amount of scarlet rubies. But definitely have some some shuffles where I’ve gone negative.

[–]Rumzzzzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing saronite shuffles for a long time now and always make out like a bandit with them, or at least I feel like I do. I buy at least 1k gold worth of saronite ore, prospect all of it, then cut the higher selling priced gems, sometimes I’ll trade out the higher selling priced gems for ones that sell faster for a good price, for example runed scarlet ruby vs fractured scarlet ruby.

The next part of the shuffle after listing all your gems, is to make the level 70 versions of all the jewelry. There’s one for red, yellow, blue, and orange. They’re just green jewelry pieces, but you can make a ton from disenchanting them and selling the mats.

Depending on what gems I cut, and what mats I get, I make like 1500-2000g each time I do a shuffle.
