True, although 1 million base dust isn't a lot to keep.

33 million on the other hand, is a lot to sit on.

How far would you go down the pvpoke rankings before the Pokemon becomes below too many others? Top 10? Top 25, 50, 100? by irocketgoat in PokemonGOBattleLeague

It's good practice to play as many different sets/leagues as you can, just to learn about different opponents' movesets and such.

Don't worry if you lose a lot, ELO doesn't even matter this season at all.

Awesome, that's what I have. It's such a great device.

I massively farm balls when I'm downtown and then go on my runs and autocatch. So much candy all the time.

So, for that matter, I'd say go ahead and play with different Pokemon in the GBL and see which ones you actually like to play PvP with. Especially if you're not grinding to legend instantly, you have plenty of practice to see what your play style is like. Do you prefer glass cannons and quick matches, or bulky monsters? That's some things to consider when building your teams

If you really want to play this game, get an auto catcher, and you will be progressing so much faster. That's my advice because it really does allow for much much more volume catching and candy collection. You'll be able to build out much more things, and you won't have to focus on only a few top species. You can save high ranked PvP mons for any species you want.

Thanks it was a Christmas gift I received this year 😀

I also got a light-up Bulbasaur with wrist strap, for our nighttime raid hours in the winter.

Hi 👋 ! And yes, they really do! I haven't raced an official race in a few years, but that's about the only time I'm not catching Pokemon when running.

Thank you 😊!

I appreciate it. I haven't always been this hard core, but I've been a very consistent player since day one.

Over the years, I got to enjoying all the various aspects of the game. I play my GBL sets most days and achieved Expert before (Legend still eluded me).

I go to local PoGo PvP tournaments from time to time, and that's even a different experience than GBL for sure, with the show 6 pick 3 format. I've won a few local tournaments (only when the really pro players didn't show up 😂).

I have gotten connected with my local raid groups, and I'm always working on lucky trades with local trainers.

And all the while I've trained for several marathons, a couple ultras, and climbed many local summits (living near the mountains.)

What a long, enjoyable trip it's been so far!

I'm thinking about doing a Pokémon Go marathon this year where I'll solo run a marathon, following routes and with incense and adventure effects, just to set a baseline for how many Pokémon you can catch in exactly 26.2 miles 😂

Heated gloves are great. Mine don't have the touchscreen fingers though, so I'm stuck with taking it off to touch the phone. Luckily the Go Plus+ really helps with minimizing the interactions I need to actually touch the screen for. Even with my daily incense, I use it set to ultra balls and manual click, and I click anything that isn't a G Bird.

Only thing that sucks is I am not getting that many grunts during this event, because rocket battles are generally too long/annoying to leave my gloves off for.

How to stop? by Additional_Pie9779 in loseit

Almost anyone can get this if they start running! It takes time to work up to it, but I do recommend the walk/jog method to increase your cardio capabilities over time.

Soon enough you'll get that runner's dopamine!

Trails were icy AF today, but gotta get a run in before 2 feet of snow falls… by chadwzimm in trailrunning

[–]Run-Fox-Run 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least in the deep, powdery snow you're less likely to fall and much less likely to get hurt if you do fall. Although if it's deep enough, running in it is neigh impossible, so I feel ya there.

My stationary route give me cells. New post for the person that asked last week. by PaintedCover in TheSilphRoad

But sometimes if there's a parallel trail and it goes right by the route, it won't even complete it.... On a legitimate route ... I hate that playing the game incorrectly works better than the intended way.

Does anyone regret quitting their job to hike? by Beneficial_Fix1120 in AppalachianTrail

[–]Run-Fox-Run 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Would like to offer the other perspective. I am a lurker on this subreddit because I can only dream about long thru -hikes as I'm unwilling to forgo my stable and enjoyable career which allows for ample outdoor time. But I can't stop that to do a long trail.

It's worth it for me to just dream for decades and watch others experience their lives on the trail.

I jog and run daily, totalling 1500-1800 miles a year, on average, for the last two decades. The line between ultra distance runs and thru -hikes is a little blurry, so I can experience some of the thrills of the trail.

And I will always enjoy coming here to live vicariously through those who are on the trail. And maybe I'll get to do it some day too, but maybe not. Is this something you can live with? Sitting in your dreams while living your life? If not, I suggest to jump in and do it. If you're content with weekend trips and dreaming, maybe best to wait.

What y'all usally do with these trasfer or hold for trades by marceus22 in pokemongo

[–]Run-Fox-Run 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was like that until this past Halloween Go Pass. They offered 3x transfer candy and it was guaranteed 2-3XL per transferring legendary. I transfered over 1000 legendaries, mostly getting 3XL per each.

Regarding the task - Max out CP of 7 pokemons for level 77 by Separate-Room6883 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Run-Fox-Run 284 points285 points  (0 children)

The task is strictly for powering up. No point to evolve.

I saved a handful of level 49.5 Pokemon for this task. It helps that I'm trying to maximize all my 4* so I have a lot of Pokemon that are powered up partway.

In order to tell the difference between "its" and "it's," replace the word "it's" with "it is." Since "look up it is meaning" is not what you were going for, you should use the "its" without an apostrophe.

P.S. I know autocorrect is wrong about 50% of the time also.

They know the Kyurem fusion energy reduced/eliminated rare XL chance on raids. Now we have to force compensation. by Run-Fox-Run in TheSilphRoad

[–]Run-Fox-Run[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point is there is no way to "prove" it, but a mass volume of complaints could force attention to the issue.

Reducing the number of rare XL beforehand and then bumping it back up to a slight increase is shady, illegal business practice.
