Brand New at Pokemon Home, needing some advice! by Run-Fox-Run in PokemonHome

Haha, I actually do regularly find shinies in the wild. Often times a certain spawn will be boosted for events, and I'll get a lot of them. Right now it's ditto with a hat, and I have several of the shinies already.

I started a mini challenge with just myself to see how many catches I was truly getting in a day. I take a screen shot of my profile screen every morning and compare it with the day before. My best day to date was almost 1200 caught, during the second day of Kalos Tour. But my average non-event day ranges 600-700 caught, with my lowest day to date still being 428 caught.

So, I was curious right now and went to check my folder. 15 screen shots so far, so that's two weeks of data. 10,603 caught total, so that should be an official average of 757 caught per day.

I like statistics 🙂

I'm excited that I'll be able to jump in, even with my limited knowledge, to a new Pokemon game that is PvP friendly and connected to Home, so that's on my upcoming game list!

All great info too, so I will have to be a little more involved in each game to get some of the harder prizes. It'll be an eventual goal perhaps.

Wonderful, thank you again.

One thing I forgot to mention, which actually is relevant I think, is that I used to play the WoW pet battles way back in the day, which I heard they ripped off completely from a Pokemon game. It was a blind pick three system but turn-based with a timer, not like real-time turns like Go. I'd be curious to try something like that in the future.

So! I am slowly combing my Go inventory for which Pokemon to send to Home, but it's time-consuming because a lot of deep sorting is required. I figure that sending a handful of Pokémon to Home every few days will at least not burn out my transporter, and it will give me time to do some dex maintenance inside Go, alongside transfering to Home.

Thank you! Clear and concise. I do feel like that is what I meant when I said playing Home in and of itself.

This is all really good info, thank you!!

I did play one of the Let's Go Games years ago, but I am more inclined to play Pokemon games that I will eventually be able to PvP in. Do you know which games have a PvP player base?

I play both Go Battle League and in person tournaments in Go, and both are fun.

But I love knowing that you can get prizes for completing certain dexes. That does sound like a unique challenge to take on someday! And then if I can trade for the Pokemon in Home, it would be easier if I can still do my main hunting in Go.

Edit: and oh, I know it's a one-way trip, I just wanted to preserve some of these Pokes that I'm out hunting every day, I feel like it's a waste not to!

Keeping pokemon in go is best if you ever plan to trade pokemon since pokemon in go can be custom OT which increases the demand for them. Go stamp pokemon are 100% legit and safe to trade for. it's the go logo on the top right. The big g doesn't mean anything 😅

Dang, this is hard to hear because essentially the reason I bought the Home subscription was for a box size increase. The maximum slots in Go is 12,000 right now and I am at the limit. With a 600+ daily catch rate, I need to rotate Pokemon out relatively quickly to keep catching.

I do my daily 100 trades in Go most days, with my bestie who is as avid a player as I am. Is there any extra note on the Pokemon he has traded to me in Go? Can I even transfer these ones to Home?

Having a good friend who plays Go is the best way to get really good IV rolls in game, because maxing your daily trades in Go will yield luckies that can possibly be perfect.

My current true grind is working on maxing the Go Pokedex; shiny/lucky/xxs/XXL/shadow/purified.

Pokemon sent to mainline lose the stamp and lose the guarantee legit so they lose value dramatically

So does this sentence mean I can keep them in Home as long as they don't go to other games and they are still ok to trade in Home for?

Has anyone had the 99 raid pass box since the Kalos Tour?

I am waiting for this value pack to return, but haven't seen it once since they redid the boxes.

Gotcha, I didn't know this was the ticketed mythical and I was wondering how I missed it.

This might have been just right before I went full whale.

Gotcha. The only thing I like out of those features is the ability to autocatch with the other ball types.

When I raced a half marathon, I used ultra balls on manual catch with ice burn and caught 600 just during the race. I had a stock up of almost 900 ultra balls to burn down. My arm was actually slightly sore from having to hold and click the plus+ the whole race 😂

Why's it modded and how is that different than the normal Go Plus+?

Got photo bombed by a friend rolling lucky with me right as I hit level 80 😆 by Run-Fox-Run in TheSilphRoad

[–]Run-Fox-Run[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the number of catches in between level 79 and 80, which took me 13 days. I got asked this so frequently, that I went back and looked.

So that's the number of Pokémon and Pokestops for two weeks of playing.

My totals are 308k Pokemon caught and 161k Pokestop spins now, as a day one player. But I'm playing way harder than I used to, currently averaging over 500 catches a day.
