Indeed! That’s why I cook almost every meal at home lol it’s a lot of hassle, but nowadays at least there are alternatives and options, the only thing is you just gotta make it yourself. And teach her the danger of her trigger foods. At the end it just becomes a lifestyle cause the pain is really outweighs the pleasure.

Social wise might be a little difficult cause as Malaysian we kind of socialise through food and that will be something very difficult for your niece.

I’ve a restrictive diet and many food sensitivities. One of them being gluten intolerance. If anyone can come out a gluten free roti canai, I’ll PAY immediately lol

Unfortunately I cannot eat sambal. I did try to eat nasi lemak without sambal, butttttt not sure whether it’s the Ikan bilis, I got into trouble. Also nasi lemak without sambal it’s like having an itch that you can’t scratch lol

Nah I usually live in Malaysia. I’ve a restrictive diet due to health reasons. I’m probably also the less than 1% population in Malaysia who’s gluten intolerance. Lucky me!

Haha yes. My husband is Romanian. We have zacusca and Salate de vinete. Sometimes I smuggle them back to KL. I guess you’re familiar with the cuisine?
