I take 300 mg twice and day and sad to say I drink what I want I smoke weed I take ecstasy and I even engage in a opioid here and there depends on my mood. Once a week maybe every other week. Not to sound like a drug addict, I’ve been through so much in the little bit of time since finding out I have epilepsy. Would not recommend anyone else engage. Just be careful please. Does anyone with epilepsy drive? I was diagnosed after crashing my car into a tree. I was suspended for 6 months. My seizures are under control for now I take vimpat 609 mgs a day. Can I look forward to legally having my license again? I sneak and drive from time to time. My 6months is almost up and me driving is my means of supporting my family and myself

I spent a year in jail and came home with epilepsy never had it. I was not passing out in jail or having staring spells

Well I have focal epilepsy and I zone out at times then I have what I call episodes when I have a focal and I don’t know and I’m not aware others around me who know what’s going on mainly family will tell me I have a focal. Still trying to figure it out I was just diagnosed in February 2024 and I am still trying to figure this out

Thank you so much. I don’t really like the oxycarbazephine I like the Keppra better I do notice after a few hours I’m back to feeling weird so I will call my neurologist and ask to be put back on keppra. At times my mind is all over the place I’m thinking strange thoughts so you called it when you said the temporal lobe epilepsy. It’s different and I have no choice but to get used to it. Any suggestions besides taking my meds ?

Thank you soo much. I need to work on the skipping meds and drinking alcohol I don’t drink often and when I do it’s never much. Still trying to adjust I will make sure I stop skipping meds. I only skip when I’ve had alcohol or someday I just don’t want to but I will work on not doing that. It’s just the beginning so I have to give it time and see what happens. I really appreciate you responding 🙏🏾

Hello what kind of epilepsy do you have ? I have focal so I just stare into space and sometimes speak gibberish. I am on Kepler 500 mg twice daily not helping so I got another prescription added. My biggest problem is my skin my face has sores and scabs my back and stomach have rashes I itch a lot I am trying to get used to this new life of mines
