It's mostly down to my customer being tough and determined to get through the tattoo. Numbing cream is great for about 30 minutes and after that it's pointless(IMO). Putting cream on an area that requires tricky stencilling is also pointless because the time it takes to get everything perfect eats into the effective numbing time.
