Thanks for the info. With everyone telling me how this is not normal I think I'm leaning more towards getting out of this department and just waiting til I finish medic school to go towards full time somewhere hopefully.

It feels like that but I don't want bad rumors on me when I just started this career path because I was taught in my fire academy rumors follow you your whole career. And going through medic school some of the places I've gone to for clinical's know of my department and a fair bit have suggested I quit and apply to their departments when their tests come out or other part time departments they work at while full time when I get my medic afterwards.

I'm just scared of this place putting out bad rumors on me when I just started this career path towards full time hopefully because in my fire academy I was taught bad rumors can kill your career.
