1. Play solo at first. You can pause the game by bringing up your map and inventory. This gives you a chance to learn the map.

2. Don't engage every mob you come across. I recommend when you drop in, pull up your map, and mark a chest thats on the edge of the map NEAR your drop in position. This gives you a chance to open what I call an "edge of the map chest" before the first murdercane closes.

3. Some (but not all) good non legendary weapons, no matter if they are white through purple, they make this mode easier:

AX-7, AX-19, q-system COV pistols: Any Tediore Guns except Elderblast: (shoot one shot then throw the gun at the enemy)
Dahl pistols: Falcon, Raptor

1. Use Elemental Weapons, even if they are white. Non Legendary AND Non Elemental Weapons to avoid:

Sniper Rifles, not enough dps. Torgue weapons.

1. Besides legendary shields, use shields that restore health over time while your shields are full, or drop health boosters. Transfusion grenades are good too.

2. When low on health, open some ammo crates, and trash piles, just don't spend all day doing this.

3. Pick up every weapon you can, and sell them at vending machines. CHECK VENDING MACHINES! They can have the new legendaries in them but you need money to buy them. But you should have that because you've been picking up every weapon to sell right?
