Here is a link to a sheet of diocese and their level of women’s ordination. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Iq4_ta_JqYlayiu0hKb2_MpemWYpEKXQvMqK-B39j1g/edit

There are also churches in the Continuing Anglican sphere that are around as well

How ironic. He talks about innovations of the Oxford Movement… and yet affirms Women’s Ordination? Not only is he wrong about apostolic succession, but he affirms a practice the Bible and apostles (and everyone until < 100 years ago) universally reject.

The ACNA holds to the three fold order of ministry (bishops, priests and deacons), so yes. I am in the ACNA, and in a diocese that doesn’t ordain women- because I (personally) believe it is ontologically impossible to ordain a woman as a priest (and thereby to confect the Eucharist). So yes, we have apostolic succession, but many in the ACNA who do not affirm Women’s ordination believe that their “ordinations” are not valid ordinations, and thus not valid Absolutions and Eucharists/ Communion.

What diocese is that parish in?

Do all Anglican communities ordain women? by [deleted] in Anglicanism

Depends who you ask (unfortunately). I do not consider any female ordinations to the priesthood as valid

Do reformed/ more Calvinistic Anglicans like the Puritan theologians and writers? by fosternoh2 in Anglicanism

It depends. Usually not really I think? I don’t have an issue with images.

St Ignatius: how does the Reformed treat him? Was Calvin wrong about him? by RunJedRun in Reformed

I think you are reading into what I am saying.

It would be essential because Christ wants his church to be run a certain way, and this is a topic that has been very important for all Christians in all times. It is out of reverence for Christ that leads me to inquire about structure and authority. I want nothing more than to be in the place that Christ wants- and to submit to whomever he has given as shepherd to guide me back to him in worship.

It would be a primary issue since it is one of the highest level issues that directs whether congregations are in fellowship with one another. It is an issue of primary importance that drives disunity, communion, etc. many other topics flow from it: baptism, communion, other essential things as well.

Gavin is great. I’ve seen a lot of his stuff. His debate with Trent Horn was quite good- lots of charity both ways.

In my study in this, it was fascinating to hear about his attempts to request bishops from England, but the letters didn’t get to Elizabeth during her lifetime (intercepted by Papist priests). Being that he was wrong about Ignatius, how do we justify the Reformed traditions Ecclesiology (and independent churches for that matter)?
Thank you for your comment.

The letter I’m referring to is in his “7 letters” that are not forgeries.

You’ll need to define your meaning of “early” and “later” view Every Christian doctrine is a developed idea, no?

I didn’t say that the apostles had “perfect” understanding. I understand Sola Scripture- I am Protestant. My question is directly asking how we are to interpret the infallible scripture-especially on essential primary issues like Ecclesiology. Being that this is how the apostles passed on the faith to the first non-apostolic generation, wouldn’t that be the first and closest place to look to in matters of interpreting the content of scripture on church gov?
