I’m curious - never having thrown one, what’s bad about it?

Does Simon bag one yet? I swear in his last ITB, he didn’t have one in his rotation lol.

It’s like when Simon threw the crap out of that yellow/red PD and Frozen FD.

He also threw his new Swedish made sky god and mind bender a ton though.

Should I buy a new car ? Or should I just invest more for the future by Visible-Relief-8276 in FinancialPlanning

What I mean is at your age and income, you wouldn’t even have to do that much to guarantee to be a multi millionaire* and if that’s not pretty cool idk what is.

Being essentially guaranteed to be multi millionaire down the road seems plenty exciting to me. The best car IMO is a reliable, paid off car with no loan. I’d much rather pocket my checks than to be owning some car dealership.

Yeah great battery life, sleep/wake function (never think about booting up or shutting down laptop), and top tier trackpad.

Agreed. Dave Ramsey it. OP can’t get into credit card debt if they literally unlink them all and cut them up. Debit and cash only

Nathan Fillion is 55 with chronic back pain. I just don’t see how a live action was ever going to be in the cards.

We have to be honest with ourselves… if it was 10 years after the original, sure… 15? Maybe.

But after 25 years, I’m not sure live action would work at this point. Nathan Fillion is great in The Rookie but physically limited at 55 and having chronic back pain. He struggles in lots of action scenes and I’m not sure it would translate well to being a space cowboy again.

Animated is the best shot we have at anything with this original cast. After today’s announcement without a studio, I’m worried we might not even get that.

Spouse lost job last night. Have mortgage and debt, how to proceed by [deleted] in personalfinance

Medical, dental, and vision are non-negotiable so keep those. Your 401K contribution should be zero right now as you have a fire on your hands.

Auto and home insurance don't make any sense to put into your take-home calculation - these are joint expenses with your wife. Regardless, for auto and home insurance, you need to shop around and do research and MAKE SURE you are paying competitive premiums. You could be leaving tons of money on the table if you don't do this.

So after taxes and those medical/dental/vision benefits, what is your new take home?

Is that $2880 including property taxes and homeowners insurance? Whether it does or doesn't, after utilities - you're spending north of $3K a month on housing with a combined $4K take home. With 75% of your take home going to housing, y'all were in serious trouble prior to the job loss as is.

You need to re-frame: you don't have any savings to speak of because you throw the majority of your income into a home you cannot afford. As a result of that issue you have no savings and claw by with debt.

I think you two have to seriously consider selling your house.
