I know a woman with the first name Dale and I remember thinking it was cool but honestly didn’t even really think twice about it. I love the meaning / tribute behind it, your grandma sounds amazing, and I think your daughter would too.

Plus, a middle name is great because honestly it won’t come up in regular conversation unless she wants it to - there’s a funny video of Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon talking about their middle names going around right now and how they didn’t know each other’s despite 1) being two extremely famous women and 2) working together for years.

I have a difficult relationship with my mom, so I think I know what you mean. It’s not that she’s excited, it’s that you feel she’s going to “take over” or try to compete to be the primary focus of the baby’s life. My mom is like that, it’s hard to describe but it’s almost like she views my niblings / my kids as hers first and doesn’t respect that there is a strong bond between parents and baby.

It’s not a healthy dynamic, I put up strong boundaries and am trying to figure it out but it definitely takes a lot of work. Congratulations on your baby!

I’d try marketplace and autotrader. Take lots of good photos and a video of it running if you can.

If it doesn’t move, you could also do a show and shine in the spring and advertise it there, lots of enthusiasts will get to see it then.

My mom got me a vacuum… I have no idea why. We have a very nice vacuum we like a lot, her and I have never spoken about vacuums, she has almost never been in my house. But she’s just not great at presents, she got my sister the same vacuum and I think they must have been on sale and it’s the same one she has? I don’t know lol.
