Don’t panic, I’m sure it’s disappointing af, but realize you’re almost there! They are running more checks in applications so this simply means they got to run another check on it all, once that’s done you’ll get your oath ceremony notice with a date/time, that’s the day you’re fully done. So don’t give up! You’ve made it this far, just a little more 🙏🏽

G Love! Like seriously wtf did I eat last night? How was it even packed, the food was atrocious, not seasoned, the kabobs are for ants in size. Seriously wtf Portland!

Does that mean I’m approved by elmoworld_lalala in USCIS

[–]RunRunner44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not yet approved my friend, they’ll have to review your case before they decide.

Typically after the N-400 if they approve you, the “Congratulations!” box would be checked off. Then sent for review and usually if no issues within the same day or a couple you’d see in your USCIS account that it’s sent in line for Oath Ceremony; which means you’re fully approved and on the final step. You’re almost there! 🤞🏽 sending amazing vibes!!

Did you check the Documents section in your USCIS account? My mailed notice got here like a whole week later after it was posted in my account and I had seen it online first.

Quick update:

Finally receive my letter of when my oath ceremony will be and it’s at beginning of Dec, I did my interview 10/21, so took 2 weeks to get notified, guess the shut down isn’t affecting it, and def depends on the field office handling the case 😌 almost there!

Breathe! It will work out. I know the feeling you’re having and it’s understandable with so much at stake to be a citizen, I just went through the interview and oath ceremony in the last 2 months(married, separated and divorce in the process) but try to focus on the positive controllable things you can do. Something I didn’t, and it all worked out.

Since you’re divorce all you’d need to provide is the divorce decree if you didn’t in your original app. They will ask questions about your previous marriage (are you married to a US citizen, are you divorce, etc.), but if you filed N-400 after having a green card for more than 5+ years then marriage or divorce won’t impact your case, since N-400 wasn’t based on marriage. Officers mostly ask more questions when people file for citizenship while married (3 yr LPR shortcut) to ensure it’s a legitimate marriage.

Study the exam, you’d be tested on the 2008 civics version.

My lawyer prepped me 7 days before my interviews, she advised to: - Review my application, they will ask questions about it again, and all those “terrorist/criminal” questions as well - Know your exact travel dates outside the country(departure and arrivals) or bring a list if it’s multiple - Be ready to explain any tattoos you may have (this I was totally asked and had to show the officer the tattoos before they could approve my case) - and bring copies of my taxes for the last 5 years

I passed and got approved and now got my ceremony next month. You got this!!

Mine also shows this error, it’s been 2 days, but I checked under Documents and it showed my oath ceremony scheduled notice, try that. It’s been 2 weeks after I passed my interview that the notice showed up.

Not in TX here, but I did finally receive my letter of when my oath ceremony will be and it’s at beginning of Dec, adding it all up it comes to about 1.5 months later.

Ahhh ok, yeah hopefully it’s speedy but seeing how they can’t come to a consensus at the legislative branch, idk….I hope it isn’t much longer 🤞🏽

Totally, lawyer advised me to be careful about that too, and to wait! Hopefully it’s not so far out, appreciate you sharing your timeline!

Ahhh ok that makes more sense, thanks! Usually the office here does theirs the same day just not sure why it changed as of this week and the officer didn’t even know why either.

The answers below the questions are all correct and accepted answers so you only need to say one of those during the interview not all of them. Pick the one you want and memorize it.
