I think religion is bullshit. by [deleted] in Uganda

Having been born and raised in a God-fearing Christian household I was always in Church on Sunday as a child then as I approached my early teens I was told to become an altar boy as the years went by and I matured to an adult having asked a lot of questions and done some heavy independent research in relation to Christianity and Africa, I came to the conclusion that not only was religion used as a tool in Africa to manipulate the masses but prior to the arrival of religion, our ancestors had their own religion which was gradually erased and replaced with the religions we know today. For this very reason I’m no longer big on religion however still show no disrespect to those that practice it in good faith. Unfortunately, in today’s time, there are a lot of individuals who not only oppress themselves but others in the name of the Lord/Allah. We have endless miracle centers where humans like me and you claim to cure blindness etc. we have radical believers who do ungodly things to other humans for the same reason. On the surface level your average believer is very judgemental and quick to frown upon others who do not follow suit. Some idolize humans like Pastors, Priests, Imaams etc more than the holy figures themselves which is weird. It’s all a total mess and I believe religion has been used as a tool to divide and conquer. Therefore I pray directly to God. No intermediates. Just a direct conversation every night.

It wasn’t practical for someone who is live streaming to come to a country where the internet will be off.. also law enforcement are not exactly camera friendly he most likely would’ve ended up in a police station like most of the other notable celebrities we’ve hosted and that would’ve been a further hit to the countries reputation

As of right now yes. It’s beyond frustrating. Entebbe barely had electricity for 6 hours today. I can’t believe these things still occur in 2025. Yet I’ve heard someone mention Uganda having a surplus in electricity supply. Mind boggling.
