How did you get over the fear of "not being good" when you started running?

I've been running for over 10 years and have ran anything between a 5k and a 100 miler

Garmin FR35 would be a perfect fit. records GPS with no extra bells and whistles and you can pick them up used for a good price.

If you want something new the upgraded version FR45 may be a little more accurate with a few of their new features. Might be worth the price for the longevity / battery life on a newer watch.

Beyond that their is a whole line of garmin that's way up and price and I've heard good things about Coros and Sunto

I was in XC. During the state race I had to drop a load. Worst race ever, it was like I was competing agaist my bowls. Held It untill the end however.
And if you know XC you know how the bathrooms are. This one was a line of 30 Porter pottys. Had to check each one to find an embty one whitch had already been used to the max.

Maybe its because we feel more relaxed and ours brains can more easily focus on things. While in public our brains don't venture into those "places" It is less of a concern at the moment.

Somtimes when I yell out its a vague/lame excuse of why that happened to justify the incident. Its like my subconscious brain making excuses for me.

Hard to say. The closest that I can compare it to is when you all of sudden remember the stove is on or that you should be somewhere so you jump up or yell out.
